AFAIK the main advantage of 45degree v twin is single carburetor use and compactness. The engine seems good but at present day refinement matters too. Also the engine should not miss out the high torque rather than power. All the Best for the project.
Any idea about the development cost?
Even though thumpers are mostly related to thumping(hard hitting sound), technically singles are thumpers.
Can every lean running engine be called thumper?
Whenever i see bikes or cars i see adrenalin pumps instead of people carriers.Thats the way to define an automobile.

A slew of irrelevant and pointless OT discussions.

Unsubscribing to this thread which could have been an interesting build log. . . .and the community too soon maybe.

The final prodution will Have FI and the reason for the current setup is to test individual tuned Inlet Tracts for each cylinder they give better performance with individual tuning posible.

Check the pages from 92 to 95 on this month's issue of BS motoring. I went to see the bike but did not ride it (The biggest bike I have ridden is the p220 and I did not want to risk crashing the beast).I was intimidated on seeing the way it rode.Wheelspins on the slightest nudge of the throttle and sounds maddening. Also got to see a few very very rare bikes in his factory an Ariel, two BSA's ,a panther,a royal enfield meteor and a Gilera. There were also an Indian chief, an RD350,a triumph and many others all in various stages of restoration

Should have tried parallel twin......would have been much better looking.

What a fine reason for not going for a perfect 45 deg. V-Twin!

Satyen I have known the creator of this beast only since about a year ago.He is an experienced rider and has a lot of contacts allover india and also abroad.Hence the chance that I know Abhijeet is very slim.He has asked me not to reveal the exact figures but he has dyno tested the bike and the power is beetween 45 and 55 HP. With torque figures in the 65 to 80 N-m range.I met andy through a mutual friend and he is a member of inddie thumpers.

Thumper is mostly a Single cylinder big engine bikes which were run on un-advanced technology!! And when the blocks use to hit inside the psiton then there use to be a thump feeling to the rider with a noise!!

We get many kind of silencers for getting this sounds, but thump is the beating of block below our seat and the feel of that block continous hitting!! All old RE's where mainly know for this thump beat!!
I am still trying to figure what this means. Please read for yourself once again and try to decipher it. The wordings do not match your thoughts and it is not possible to understand. If the block hit the piston then there is a clearance beetween the piston rings and cylinder wall it will cause the engine to stall if that were to occur. And if the block beats under our seat then it probably has come out of place!!!
