    Topic Approved.
Except for the mild color scheme changes, I can't find any technical change in the specs.

But their promotional language sure has changed from the 2012, to 2013 model. They're trying their best to explain how single cylinder is the ideal for smooth power delivery, or something...

    In 2012:

We equipped the CBR250R with a fuel-injected single-cylinder engine, with double-overhead cams and a counterbalancer. Why? Because when you put it all together, you end up with a bike that delivers consistent power, mid-range torque and loads of confidence.
    In 2013:

The CBR250R uses a single-cylinder engine with fuel injection, double-overhead cams and a counterbalancer. Sure that’s tech talk, but the architecture offers some very real advantages. Maybe the most important is power delivery: a single offers the kind of torque and midrange power that’s well suited for all levels of riders.

looks much more sportier....n much more less vfrish n becoming more CBRish finally....but with some gains u loose some and i think the design flow the VFR reminiscent styling of the earlier previous version seem to be sorely lacking...nonetheless in overall looking very good...

            So; no changes technically...

Only additional colors - Pearl White/Blue/Red, Red and Black, and the one that everyone MotoGP fan will surely enjoy - Repsol (only available in standard model without ABS). Also new for 2013 are black wheels (not available on the Repsol), and a new black exhaust cove...

Just color changes are being introudced as new year models? Is it because Honda thinks 250 is so perfect that no further changes are required or is Honda is running out of steam?

Any of the above reason doesnt suit Honda's style. May be some big changes are being planned for next year?

Completely agree with you. I was thinking of some bigger changes than just these cosmetic changes. In fact, these colour schemes are not looking too good either except the white one.

Maybe Honda plans to go the Ninja way.

For a power/engine upgrade I would say it is so early for the asking just because CBR250R is only 1 1/2 year bike. I won't be surprised if Honda(or any other manufacturer) will bring an upgrade in the engine department so soon. We can take Ninja250R as an example and even the new R15 got its upgrade after some years.

But the Ninja has already gone one level up to around 40 Ps and its 300 cc now, in the UK and USA.

There was some rumor around that Honda is developing a 400cc engine...If they design 400cc on the same lines as CBR250R, then there is some serious competition.
