you clearly skipped the point raised by me, the chassis of CBR250 is costlier by what margin and why?

you have done a nice exercise of price break-up but the prices mentioned by you is the cost at which individual parts are available on retail sale

it charges a premium because it wants to charge a premium and not because it costs that much to produce.
i do not want to drag this discussion further, since you are not ready to see the other side of coin. all i wanna say and have said is -- to increase sales now and in future- it is advisable to reduce the price of CBR250.

It is a very good bike and the current pricing is also not bad, but it can be better---

who knows i will own a CBR one day.

let us respectfully and happily agree to disagree.
    1) Because ANYBODY can build a Frame, but it takes a highly skilled team of individuals to build an all new engine. Why do you think Indian companies are partnering with foreign brands to this day? Keep the Multi-spark aside, and tell me how many engines are indigenous to India technology wise.

    2) The chassis isnt expensive when compared to that of its rivals at all. The main purpose of the tubular frame was to keep the overall cost down on the bike.

    3) Incorrect. They are retailing at 2-4 k more than what i have listed. And i have already exempted the tax aswell. And yes everybody runs a business to make profits. Everybody has to earn for the job they do. Nobody works under loss or for negligible profitable margin. The labour and material cost was also exempted and yes when the material arrives in Bulk the vendors do give a certain cut of profit to the manufacturer which again is purely business.

    4) The process they(BMW) undertake to produce anything from a bicycle to a limo is labour intensive. Thus they charge a premium. Their production is very limited to the number of customers.

And Fair enough let's agree to disagree

Why would Honda want to cut back on their profit margins again?? If someone is not buying the Honda quarter litre because they think its 15K too expensive, I think they should stay away from that purchase anyway.

IMO, the CBR is priced correct and if you can get a hang of that soft front suspension around corners, its the bike to beat for that money. If anything is overpriced in the market, its the CBR150 and the R15.

yes I agree, specially CBR 150 is quite costly & it also misses out on basic switch-gear... Anyone who is planning to purchase CBR150 should increase his budget & straightforward go gor CBR250 !

Seems I stirred up a hornet's nest rather unknowingly but the basic QUESTION remains unanswered.
Yes accepting and assuming that there is nothing new but still any news of the LAUNCH?
