cbr has undercut ninja 300 by Rs 22000in uk. maybe it can happen here as well. they can do it like cbr150r ie import engine and build rest here. also these bikes are made economically so its a possibility.Originally posted by riot View Post

It s highly unlikely,Honda would launch the bike without localizing. It knows the Indian biking scenario too well, to make such a mistake. And price wise, Why do you people predict it to be double of CBR250?? well 250(ABS) costs 1.9+ Lakhs OTR. Hence 500 would be around 3 - 3.2 Lakhs(for extra cylinder and little change in chassis to handle more power damp the vibes,considering the 250's chassis is quite capable to handle high speeds),nothing more than that. Cbr500 looks super compact guys. It looks smaller than cbr250 when you look at it or sit on it!!!
And, good news: the Honda bigwign staff confirmed me that the bike will be 47 hp at the crank
three different staff confirmed me this at the motorshow and i think and hope this is true
Also there the mugen version of cbr500 and moriwaki cb500f and we get red colour for cb500f. cbx also looks good guys.
cb500f and cbr500r will get dunlop sportmax d222 and cbx will get pirelli scorpion trails.
Overall, i liked all of the 500 series but red cbr500 is the best looking imho.

Duke 200 wont cost anything more than 2L. So yes, it is less than half the price. Hyosung or Kawasaki 650 could be had for just a slightly more and its more powerful and better packed. Ninja 300 at 3.2L will be cheaper too . Not to forget P375, it will be full faired one with better looks and similar power at less than half the price.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View Post

Introductory prices should not be considered, only stable prices should be considered. i may launch a product in market at a reduced introductory price and one month later increase it price. so ultimately 90% of buyers will not buy at introductory prices and it is always better to let the first batch pass, then purchase.Leave a comment:

If at all there is going to be a hike, it will be around 20~25k at max. Its still going to be a lot cheaper than the 500R. Btw, how sure are you that the 500 is coming to India next year?
