I have no sympathies. dudes like these give the entire biking community a bad name...
It is hard to imagine why this guy went loco and went "Roadrash" all over bangalore. I respect his badass-ness, but the army did the right thing. Those who live by the sword must be prepared to die by the sword.

Maybe I am being overtly judgemental/hypocritical since all of us have broken some speeding law somewhere But in these troubled times we have to choose between the lesser of the two evils. This country needs security (possibly suffocating extreme security measures) more than bikers need to drag.

So in the name of security should you kill all irresponsible citizens .

Go and tell the boys parents tht "Itz good tht ur child died, now everyone will remeber him before crossin the speed limit".

@Cos: Understand a point here...that guy was not shot bcoz he was stunting/drag racing...but due to the fact that he had entered the brigadier's house premises without prior permission and then he did not surrender on being caught....so the soldiers out there shot him..!!

This is very unfortunate but 1 thing here. Under no circumstances you can jump over in an ARMY Compund & try to hide. And, when the Army Gaurds warned him & asked him to surrender, he should have immediately done that. This is Army, not some local police thullas. Also please do keep in mind the recent terror attacks in our country. Army Compunds have strict no entry rule for any one who does not have authority.

@Inder: My reply was for the above statement. I knw wht the army did was right, they followed the rule book. But my only point is tht we should not disgrace the deceised as a moron, as non of us knew him and neither do we exacltly knw the sequnce of events before he entered the compound (Wht we knw is media & authority manipulated stuff.....). Itz clearly visible tht whtever he did was in panic.........

As has been mentioned all over the thread, the fact that he was on a bike had nothing the do with his death, I'm sure India TV can use this incident to prove wheelies affect blood supply to the brain and induce poor judgement in people!!

The incident is truly sad, there is obviously no justification for killing someone but judging by the fact that he did not heed to the warning shots the security can't be wholly blamed either.

My condolences are with his family and may this serve as a learning for all that if you make a mistake, be prepared for the punishment too. Running away doesn't solve much, life is not a movie where everything falls in place for your escape.
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use a lotta fuel.

Okay, let us stop this discussion here. This was meant to serve as an eye-opener for people who perhaps drag race and "take chances" with their life. But, this has turned out to be an immature and in some posts, even an insensitive issue.

Hence, locking the thread seems to be an appropriate and logical thing to do.
