Poor guy needs better helmets. LS2 won't help here. Also, full gauntlets would serve better.

Am not sure how you identified that the Helmet was of poor standards. I am sure have would have bought Standard ones given he has worn some good suit.

this is nice.... celebrity riders, and would like to add a few comments of my own to above observations -- (1) AFAIK, BIC does not allow riders without full leather suit.... some rule bending.... errr... (2) is it a Harley Davidson jacket...?? & (3) surely this bike does not look good on a track.... OK OK stop this.... nice bike and its good that he is enjoying it..

Surprising! Celebrities get to bend the rules, no leathers! For godsake MMSC doesn allow riders without a full leather suit .

What does it matter if its Dhoni safety should not be compromised!

Well there was an xbhp track day a few days back in BIC and not everybody had full leathers on. Many were as adequately protected as Dhoni was. Funnily no tongues wagged at that time.
If anything, its commendable that Dhoni - unlike many other celebrities - is serious about his safety.

Now they have allowed people without single piece leather suit, with LS2 helmets, but people those who are riding does not prefer as they are concern about there own safety....
And everybody knows that celebrities can bend any rule in India.

dont blame dhoni. it is the Indian mentality. your spend 15 lakhs on a bike, but shudder to think of spending a few thousands on a compatible riding gear. may be riding gear doesnt have re sale value like the bike. Dhoni is a person who owns at least 30 super bikes should have the best of riding gear in the world, and the officially released photos will not go well with many serious riders.

Writing the same thing that I wrote on fb :
1) Bike costing in lacs, rather one of the rarest bike....
2) 'Mesh' jacket in a place where it was 'so-called' mandatory to wear leathers...
3) LS2 Helmet that too the lightest one which can't withstand 100+speed , expected a better helmet for the person who can spend lacs on bike(s)...
Above points are wrt to BIC rules......

P.S : "Atleast" he wore some gears..
