Doesn't Google gives us links on forums and we create user name and password and talk with like minded people to get info.
I never understood the concept of people telling on a forum to do Google search then why are they here in the first place if they don't wish to share info
As far as the web is concerned its very vast spread of info, quick info by like minded people helps a long way to get some direction so the forums

Personally I recommended CBR 250 to my brother but he went ahead and bought a ZMR.
The truth is that it was a good decision as I haven't heard the ZMR giving up as the CBR does.
The CBR thread has enough issues being reported seriously this was not expected from Honda.

If you happen to notice, almost all the Ownership threads only have issues being reported mostly. As it helps everyone to rectify the problems and find solutions. Please have a look at the Ktm, 200NS etc threads too.

After going through this thread have seen people giving fanboy replies to other members even on personal grounds.

I absolutely hate fanboy replies as accepting a mistake & correcting it is more important & is your duty.

Honda a well known name in international market for reliability cannot be called the same in our country.

(On a personal opinion the CBR 250 is a mediocre product for an average Joe. Would like the cbr600 from Honda.)

          Peace out.

            This time Mahindra..
Mahindra Ltd to pay Rs 64,000 for selling defective motorcycle - The Times of India

looks like manufacturers are in a race to overtake each other not only in sales but also in compensations

PS: Mods can move this to a new thread if necessary.

well, its good from consumer's point of view...but these guys must have invested lot of time and effort to fight court case.... damn my accident compensation case is still going on after more than 5 years.

Well all said and done. It is high time that top brand manufactures like Honda, Yamaha ..... concentrate more on after sales service and produce better product in par with international standards. Just few incidents I had at SVC.

When I purchased the honda activa in 2007. Just after the first service. My wife drove it on a rainy day. After few days the self starter switch was giving problems. So took it to the SVC. The service person told me that the starter switch was defective and I have to pay for its replacement. I was angry and told him that its been just a few days from the first service. The reply I got was that I drove the bike in rain. I was furious and told him to change it free of cost as it is a brand new vehicle and he did not bulge. Then I asked for the honda customer care no & email. The service guy went running inside and came out with the manager. He informed me that he will replace it free of cost.

Similarly when I gave my FZ for the first service. While taking delivery just a quick check by me and alas did not find a nut near the engine area just the bolt. I told the service guy that the nut is not there. He just brought a nut and started to tighten. I was skeptic. So I checked another FZ parked nearby and found that it was a winged nut and not a regular nut. So I told the service guy to replace with the same winged nut and not the ordinary nut. To that I was told that there is no stock and only this nut was available. The same story called the manager. Then they replaced the nut from a new bike.

These incidents are small but such incidents can be avoided and should be avoided. As spending 85K for bike is not a small amount for a middle level family. I do agree that parts can go defective and they will Since I am in the automobile industry. The SVC must check these minor problems and rectify them FOC. This is the least they can do.

                Cheers

                Mathews
