R.I.P
Saddened more by the fact that he was so young!
Helmets only save you from external injury. Walking under an under construction building and a brick falls on the helmet - You 'may be' much protected.Originally posted by Touseef Ahmed Mohammed View PostR.I.P Dinesh
May God Al-mighty Bless His Soul.
Deep condolences.
How come Helmet failed to protect???? Can anyone please explain what clearly happened??
Riding at high speeds and one falls, there is rebound and the brain hits the skull rupturing the protective sheath, the force leads to internal injuries.
Brain is a delicate organ floating in a fluid which protects it from hitting the skull on impact. When one falls, this fluid moves apart due to internal pressure and the brain hits the skull rupturing many of its blood vessels and internal bleeding followed by blood clot and if this blood clot is at the wrong place.. one can lose all his senses, be crippled for life, remain in coma forever, die.
Have experienced all this when my younger bro had an accident. He was wearing a good ISI approved helmet. No scratches on his body, but he injured his brain. 2-3 months of daily phenytoin doses to dissolve the clot. He would lose consciousness while doing any activity.. was under constant observation. Thank God! he came back.
Why I am writing all this? Because I want people reading this to understand that they "Shouldn't rely too much on their helmet, it is just an additional layer of protection" But yes, much better than bare head.Last edited by muztariq; 05-09-2013, 12:30 AM.

may his soul r.i.p
sad to hear that such practices are conducted without medical facilities available on track. This is really stupid and the track management must be held responsible for this.
As much as insisting on riding gear for riding on the track, they must have the common sense to also provide a mandatory ambulance/paramedics onsite whether its a race or a practice session. this is sport were accidents happen and timely medical assistance can save lives. I wonder how this aspect was overlooked, by both the track management and the racing teams in the first place.

really bad news for Indian motorsports. This will only weakens the trust of parents and guardian in their son's dream and struggle.
Besides lack of proper medical facilities, I always wondered looking at MMRT pics, how bad in shape the whole track is. I mean it looks of no standard and I personally know for the fact that stray animals likes dogs and pigs do come on track while the races are on. This happened with one of my mates during One-Make race last year during the race session. So much for so called "controlled environment". Since then I dont count MMRT as a good track to ride on. CSS must change their venue next year. I will send a request mail to CSS on this.www.motorcykle.in - The lighter side of motorcycling

RIP Dinesh... sad to hear such a talent going to waste just because of lack of responsibility among the circuit owners

RIP Dinesh. May god embrace your soul and give strength to your family.
After having discussed at lenghts with my overseas friends especially from Britain/Ireland, I have always believed that before F1 came to India, we never had a proper track, leave the facilities. Its such a sad thing to know that even the track officials have agreed for an EL-CHEAPO track/practice day. If they cannot agree any entries without helmet and proper riding gear, where was their common sense when those "RIDERS" came up with that stupid idea of cheap track days?
One country of 100 Billion population has only one track, what a pity. :'(Regards,

re: Motorcycle racer Dinesh dies after crash at MMRT: xBhp News
Sorry to hear about this loss of life. Before we go about screaming about the race track facilities we have to understand that the outcome might have been not have changed even if ambulance was stationed. Taking absence of one cause we could flesh out and dumping the whole "was caused due to this" on it won't help. There could have been several reasons leading to such an accident- driver error, weather, motorcycle condition, rider condition, etc.
And on top of which the Ambulance was taken off because riders wanted cheaper track riding speaks of the attitude of riders themselves in this scenario. Of course they should have refused to such a demand being race officials they didn't and that was their only fault.
