^ From another Site.Something fishy....but what that is???Write-up Update:
Guys, I was all set to give you guys a surprise over the weekend and have the write-up in for you all for a start of the week treat. Even took my laptop home to work on it from all the feedback reports, forms, logs, etc. I have saved. However, we've been asked to hold off on the write up for a bit, and I do not as yet have an idea as to till when, so a little bit of a damp squib. Apologies to all who have been waiting. Will keep you posted.

Hmm, that does sound unusual to say the least. I hope the TD reports aren't influenced in any way by this hold off.Originally posted by sumitro_d View Post^ From another Site.Something fishy....but what that is???
Some reports had it saying that the heat build up was quite drastic even in cool weather, could the TD have thrown up something in this regard?

Or could it be something to do with the strike? Since unions are gettin support from political parties, what if bajaj plans to shut down chakan and move somewhere else...just like TATA did...

Raising prices can likely never be a reason to hold off reviews.
Reviewers are asked to hold their reviews when a problem (most likely BIG problem) is identified at the last moment, and the manufacturer is working to rectify it. Most of the test bikes might have this problem and will be talked about in the reviews (while the reality is that the manufacturer has identified the problem and fixing/fixed it in the latest iteration of the product.
If that is the case, then all the reviewers will be given the new bikes to test... and the modify the review accordingly. Just my two cents...
But it sucks anyway!

^ Makes sense. Especially when you read along with this
and this:so whatever is happening behind the scenes is geared only towards getting to the market the best product possible.
Full discussion going on here->The Duke Brothers - A 200 vs 390 pictorial comparo - Page 3 - Team-BHPIf there is one company today that actually listens and learns, it is Bajaj.
I am definitely taking this one slowly. Initially it was D200 Vs. D390 power delivery characteristics that made me wait till I take a test ride before I book.
Now I guess i will wait for sometime after the 1st lot is delivered. I hope we don't have issues like we found in CBR 250.

re: KTM Duke 390 Launched in India at Rs 1.8 Lakhs: xBhp News
When I first read MG's post, I thought it was a joke, then I suspected the xBhp core team has issued a Stop Press. But now that other sites have hit the same brakes, I think BAL/ KTM is upto something. And I dont mean in a negative way. The only thing I can think of is them fixing the lazy starter issue- starter relay/ battery/ motor et al and maybe tiding up those wires too while they're at it
This is quite common in the gadget industry where smartphones are initially tested as prototypes and later upgraded with the latest SW/ OS/ build and tested again to correct the bugs. Maybe they've remapped the ECU?Last edited by DeVille; 07-09-2013, 02:01 AM.The man who designed the Tower of Pisa was the First Biker ever...
