            Hi All,

Contemplating picking up this beast, but had a few doubts so wanted to clear them first.

Had an opportunity to TR the bike for a short stretch, noticed that it cannot do crawling speeds in traffic in 2nd gear, maybe its because I am use to doing that in my Pulsar 150. Engine starts knocking below 4k RPM, is it common for those who have tested so far or am I at fault? Other than that, the grin on my face lasted for 2-3 hours!!
What's the estimated life time of the Metzelers?
Can the MRF's from the 200 be used since they are comparatively cheaper?
Any other expensive parts that might need replacement on a timely basis?
Can the bike be used for everyday office commuting in heavy traffic?
            Keep Calm and Continue Riding!

Suddenly all positive feedback on the 390, really happy to see it. The major heating issue is never an issue now. All waiting for the delivery, but still no official road test reviews. Guess I will get my bike before I read the review. Still my dealer has no concrete information on his first lot arrival date though I have paid half of the price as booking amount few days prior to the official launch. I am a little peaceful as I do not find any negative feedback or reviews recently, but the wait is just killing. I am myself getting bored to call the dealer regarding the delivery as he truly has no information. Its getting harder to kill time as we all now know the in and out of the 390 and nothing else to fiddle right now other than just to wait, wait, and wait.

All who are asking for KTM reviews: Not sure what more can be offered after the numerous of them already floating around. Anyways here are few links to help people caught in serious reviewlessness

Personally, I can say the hunger for ownership has only grown after the test ride and the wait is killing. The adrenaline rush goes on to effect the short term memory to a state where the engine heat has the same effect as that on a July afternoon in Delhi and standing in front of refrigerator with the its door wide open :-)

Ok, called KTM South Mumbai just now. They did not provide me with any details on when I'm likely to get my bike. For the record, I'm the second person to book the bike from KTM South Mumbai on the day of the launch, but they can't give me a status? What the heck?

I thought i did the smart thing by booking the bike but havent taken a test ride yet coz i want to experience the rush on my own bike. Imagine my plight. Its even more agonizing than your wait i guess. Hope that makes you all feel a little bit better.

went to the showroom today in Jaipur.. still no test ride here and a waiting period of 90 days was quoted..
sat to the D390 (first time sitting on any Duke), felt good
will get mine in the near future. inshallah
and lucky are those who will get if way sooner than me..

                          Ride safe and have fun.

Engine knocking -- I too felt the same. There was a speed breaker which I took in 2nd gear, less than 4K rpm and I too felt some engine knocking as I released the clutch to pull away. I thought my clutch release was not proper back then!
Metzelers -- The guy at the showroom told they're twice as durable as compared to the MRFs on D200. It could be replaceable with MRFs since the tyre sizes are the same or approximately the same. During wet weather and with twice the HP, Metzelers should be any day better than the MRFs...
City use -- I'm planning to use the 390 for both city use and weekend long rides.

Sorry, no idea about BTM dealer but annoyingly the double road KTM where I booked, hasn't called me yet on the test rides too. I think they have only one TD bike for Bangalore which they circulate among the dealers. Check with your dealer.
