    i rode the gt n the duke 390 both and found the gt's acceleration better especially where the midrange starts. more so it felt like a proper big bike.

    but then it was the duke and we are talking RC here. expect the rc to feel like a proper supersport.

    I am 95% going to buy this, though after the initial launch I will book after waiting at least 6 months, by then the teething problems "beta testing" should be done with and aftermarket parts of internation quality should be available, tail tidy and exhaust are on my list. Nothing else comes close in that price range, unless of course a GT650R or Ninja 650 second hand comes available within 3.5l.

    And more hp too .... in the end more power has its benefits even if acceleration wise its the same ...

    But the bulk in the gt might take away the fun of riding on city roads...(even other wise more mass means acceleration will seem dampened to the rider) something the rc can provide...daily kicks while commuting to office ... those who have tested might be able to say!

    I agree. I too have thought about those two bikes and have felt the same. It's sad that the only two affordable powerful supersports have to suffer from below par quality.
    I'm not going to buy the RC for at least one year after its launch. So, I'll get to see the issues associated with it which helps me decide whether to buy it or not.

    And those DRLs look awesome ... the bike will look a real mean machine after evening!
    Yep. Eagerly waiting to see this baby blast past like a rocket at night. Even more eagerly waiting for me to be on the saddle of that rocket

    Same here ... I guess all of us are a little worried about the Quality... but I am positive about the fact that this will be a more refined version than the initial D390's .... D390 is better in the newer lots they say .... only irritating thing im worried about is the engine oil/coolant leaking.... hope they clear this one. And bajaj I think is taking feedback this time ... they know how heated the market is going to be ... cant make a mistake now with the ktm chance!... I dnt mind a few noises or a little less refinement since will be upgrading frm rtr ..

    Yes maan!! Myself on the same boat. I dig the RC, what styling man. But I am only too familiar with the legendary parts quality of Bajaj.
    I know the fit and finish and the initial first appearance would be too good, but later in a few months you'd be looking around for one replacement or the other.

    If you're looking at aggressive stance, RC is the way to go. Pulsar SS has a far relaxed Sport Tourer type of riding position. It'll be more comfortable though.

    Forgot to mention; RC updates:

    The RC 200 is already under test on roads. Keep your eyes open. You might spot it. The RC 390 might come to dealerships till Diwali. The exhaust note is supposed to better than the Duke. Better in the sense, more refined. People who have seen the production version are completely blown away by the bike. My sources say that the bike looks very Batman-stealth kind.Though it is not as big and wide like the CBR 250R. When the bike is approaching you on the road, it looks super sci-fi stealth machine. Reminded my source of a B2 bomber. The plain panels are balanced by the trellis frame. In the night it looks even sinister.

    And finally the 390 goes like a rocket!
