RC-200 and RC-390 have been mentioned as "coming soon" on KTM-India website for many months now. Their release could happen after a month or after a year, no one can say anything for sure.
If I were you, I would buy a Duke-390 now and then upgrade a couple of years later. It has more than enough power for our Indian roads.

Unless superbikes are given for free by dealers
Chill bro, if your impending purchase is nowheer near there is no point in loosing sleep.
There are lots of short people who ride superbikes
May be in next two years.currently I have a 220 Fi and I will save everything to get a decent 300cc+ at least a super sports !!
I got worried that I wouldn't be able to ride one and now I am happy.
P.S I am following superbike classified regularly ! At least we can get a used one

Plan to launch higher version of KTM Duke 390?

Bajaj says KTM will launch higher cc version of KTM 390 and will be anounced in Auto expo. Is he refering to RC390?

Anuj: This KTM Duke 390, is there a plan to launch the higher cc version of that as well in India?
A : Yes. I am sure they will announce about that in the Auto Expo.

5'5 is tall enough to ride Any supersport as a daily commuter. Plan ahead and watch out for that heat from engine, its gonna burn your balls .

    Thank you bro.

Also went through how to lower seat height in some forums suggesting to slice the seat .And I assume that Rc doesn't even have a seat just a black thing .
So for all who are under 5.5 like me this can be just a weekend tool !! Don't dream to have one as a daily ride.

Bro no offense to any one of you I just meant that there is certainly a difference between Discover 150 and R15 V2. Now it depends on rider how he wants to use it. Like I would have been happy to use RC390 as my daily commute given the pillion seat a better one.
None taken bro. I clearly understood what you said. Like nadz said, I was also having fun

OT Unfortunately, KTM won't be present at auto expo as all their launch plans for this year are already unveiled. Also read somewhere that they aren't gonna launch the RCs in India before mid 2014.

Chill up buddy. i was also having fun..

Back to topic.. These bikes are a few days away from being released (hopefully at the auto-expo) so we would know how the riding position is when we see it physically.

RC would be a boon for tarcks. The speed is there, handling and the tyres are also top notch.

I personally love the riding position in the R15. If anything, it is the poorer low end torque on the R15 that would make me not use it as a daily commuter(in the city). The riding position is perfect for daily commuting for me personally. That may be because I find the upright position to be too boring

I like everything on the RC except the 200km fuel tank and the horrible KTM India quality control. If the quality is fixed, I'd seriously consider it as my next bike as the fuel tank wouldn't bother me all that much as I'm not a hardcore tourer. Moreover, there isn't anything track focused on this side of 10L other than the RC and the GT.

If I am not wrong R15 is a track focused bike and not meant to be a commuter.

and ya, for a 5'5" guy, it might be very extreme.
