It is good news indeed that so many people are getting what they want, namely, a pair of faired racing motorcycles. You must have got mile wide impeccably maintained roads nearby, with few traffic to spoil the fun. However, I stay in Kolkata, I ain't saying we don't have nice roads, but all of them are 30 kms away, at least. The roads near my place are made and maintained by a bunch of self hating monkeys, the macadam goes away like magic after 3/4 rains. The surface gets full of gravel, they feel crunchy to drive on, try to brake and those act like marbles. deep into the monsoon the roads gets to be a network of deep potholes interlinked with strands of pitched surfaces.
Please KTM, a 250cc or higher adventure bike will be appreciated, i need those. hero impulse ain't cutting my power needs.

Where do You stay in Kolkata ? I was there months back and I found the roads decent. They were not very wide, but the tarwork seemed good. And I am talking of roads in places 1-2 hours away from Esplanade.
Btw you should try riding in Mumbai Monsoons once if you have not. You'll quickly realize you have been underestimating your capacity for spewing out expletives.I keep on hurling them on the BMC guys each time I encounter a pothole, and believe there are an infinite number here, and swear not to pay the road tax when I buy my next bike

Simple! The moment Duke enters an upward rated CC you can expect the same with Bajaj homologation.

          Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

          THE END

The roads are decent, before the rain starts. rain washes it away, and then the Municipality moves leisurely enough to make a snail jealous. I live on the northern fringes of Kolkata, Doga. Away from the main roads. The place I live at, doesn't get flooded. but it took one day's flooding to wash away the pitch. then the trucks made merry potholes, then came the roadworkers. they'd put some bricks in the hole and let a road-roller loose on it. voila!

I like my hind portions too much to buy a race oriented motorcycle here, but thanks for your invitation. I surely shall try navi Mumbai monsoon ride, at least once. It is good to experience things, they say...
