One more thing to say, I don't know how may of you feel as I feel about this Pulsar looks TINY from the very front look. And those horns like RVMs looks bad on it. Bajaj can have RVM just like RVMs on Kawaks N300, Smaller in height but wide enough to have a clear look at your rear.

maybe a little modification was done to the swing arm to cater the length needed for the fairing.. My guess is 200 because the bike looks small compared to the other spy pic we saw earlier.. And the tires.. Seem very small.. I would be disappointed if this is the 375

Contrary to our belief that the Pulsar test mule bike was a 375cc one, the rider has himself confirmed that it is a Pulsar 200SS. The bike will sport :-

          1. Dual headlamps
          2. Side fairings inspired from RC200
          3. Same engine as that of the normal 200ns, 23bhp

Does this conventional approach of a side exhaust achieve the purpose of 3 spark plugs better? Or, due to possible implementation of the FI system this bike doesn't really require 3 spark plugs? We know that FI has an inherent advantage over carburetors towards emissions compliance, so is it at all possible (though not likely considering Bajaj's obsession with their multi-spark plug techs) that they have indeed gone with less number of spark plugs and eventually taken FI's advantage over emissions control and other benefits? To think about it, 3 spark plugs + FI seem to be an overkill. Is it not?

Thats side exhaust will come as powerpart. stock bike will have underbelly exhaust same P200NS.

I don't think they will give FI AND ABS to a fairing version of 200cc bike, let netgens think what they want ,but I think it's 375 cc bike ...
              As
              1. Why they would change underbelly exhaust to side one, although if bike is our 200ns`s ss version ,why such major change
              2. ABS for 200cc seriously ...? By bajaj. ..?
              3. Fi for 200 isn't required as carb works fine and bajaj has bitter experience with FI( remember 220 fi and then carb) 4.steel braided brakes ,why they need that when existing one works fine( for normal persons)
I believe it's 375 cc pulsar as if it's 200ss ,then price will be around 1.4 lakhs, and then the sole reason of buying bajaj ,which is CHEAPEST VFM will be no more ,as for that money people will be buying r15 And dukes and even cbr 150's

              It's my opinion...

It looks like Bajaj is testing more than one version of 200cc/ 375cc bike. Pics posted by Payeng with both rider & pillion, the bike seems to have different fairing, no ABS ring. But the other pic posted seems to have different style of fairing, different style of exhaust too. Not sure what's going on, may be they are going to launch multiple models within short span of time along with KTM RC series.

The reason behind the side exhaust could be fairings??

I mean.. the under belly exhaust would have been in the way of the fairing if I am not wrong.. just a small guess..

You seem to be quite confident about it. May be, may be not. I am personally not aware of any vehicle being field tested extensively with a powerpart. Powerparts are an accessory and they are mostly factory tested only. Such extensive field testing is done only with stock/standard parts.

I don't believe that the bottom faring should have been any issue. Instead, Bajaj could simply design the bottom part of the faring according to the underbelly exhaust of NS. Anyways, we'll know. I still believe that FI along with triple spark plug tech is an overkill, if Bajaj is at all going that route. They are going to make it a bit too complicated. Implementation of FI in 200 would also mean that eventually it was always the better option for the overall performance of the bike than the carburetors. It always is actually.

adding FI would bring up the cost by another 10K atleast.. I am saying at least depending on what FI it is going to be.. and then the fairing and other stuff will increase the cost at least by another 10K.. so overall we can expect the cost to increase by 20K minimum.. so the new bike would cost 1,20,000 on-road.. right??

the complications apart.. that's why they are investing so much on R&D, right?

Increasing price is not my point of concern. And I believe that it isn't really possible to keep the price too low anyways, even for Bajaj. It will still be cheap enough for its potential buyers.

My point is, and I am shooting in the dark as long as the FI isn't confirmed, that the rational (by Bajaj or its followers) for triple spark tech is that it keeps the costs low and that it provides almost equal levels of emission control and overall performance. And as far as I am concerned, triple spark itself sounds quite complicated even if ignoring other parameters of the tech. Now, if Bajaj goes in for FI on this bike, which already has the "said" efficient triple spark plug tech, isn't it an overkill? As far as I remember, Bajaj developed triple spark plug tech so that they don't have to go for the more expensive FI systems.

Anyways, I guess this discussion will be more fruitful if we are sure that FI is there.
