    Kawasaki Ninja ZX10r and ZX14R India launch - Price and Full Specs: xBhp News


    The much hyped Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R & ZX14R have finally been launched in India! We are reporting LIVE from the launch event at Pune and the new Ninjas have been launched at a price of Rs. 15.7L & Rs. 16.9L (Ex-Pune) respectively. It is being said that the deliveries of the bikes would start by September. These flagship motorcycles will be brought in via the CBU route. In India, these bikes have been launched in two colours - Black and Ninja Green.

    It's a smart move by Bajaj to bring these two beasts into the Indian market shortly after launching the baby Ninja. These new bikes will definitely appeal to those who have always been praying for something epic from entry level sportsbikes.

          From the other thread on the launch -

          Sources have informed xBhp that there will be more than one 'big' bike that will be launched on the 4th in Pune. The motorcycles will be sold through exclusive Kawasaki outlets and not through the regular KTM/ Kawasaki outlets.

          The smaller capacity Kawas will be continued via the existing KTM/ Kawasaki dealers.

          Initially the larger capacity Kawasaki's will be sold only in Maharashtra, through an exclusive Kawasaki dealership in Pune.

          The bikes to be sold will be announced on the 4th of this month.

                    To begin with, the ZX10R will be pitted against the Yamaha R1, it's an expert’s track focused machine with razor sharp handling. Its in-line four, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 998cc engine pumps out close to 200bhp. The engine is tamed to a 6-speed transmission. It's equipped with dual 310 mm discs up front while the rear gets a 220 mm disc brake. It gets ABS and traction control as well.

                    The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R is the company’s flagship bike, will be up against the Suzuki Hayabusa. It's the fastest production motorcycles ever offered to the public, with a top speed purposely restricted to 297kph. It's heart is a 1,441cc, 4-cylinder motor that belts out a maximum power of 210 BHP. The engine is tamed by a 6-speed transmission. It gets dual 310 mm discs up front and a 250 mm single rear disc. It's equipped with inverted telescopic forks on the front and gets a Uni-Track gas charged shock absorber at the rear.

                      How does 10r prices compare to other litre class bikes available in India? Certainly the best looking.

                        The ZX 10r offers more power, supersport grade ABS and a new electronic steering damper.
