Oh no I didn't mean to say that your mistaken about anything or considering a wrong pointOriginally posted by broken87 View PostWhen did I say going for a 600cc sounds like a good deal only because it gives few Kms more with 1 liter of petrol than a liter class bike. I only said it's just one of the very small benefits of owning a 600cc instead of a 999cc one, along with several other positives. Hence, a more sensible choice because you still have enormous power to play with and the sound of an inline-4, A notiecably better FE is always good thing to have isn't. Predictably if one's pushing either of these bikes to their 250kmph+ limit, which is almost impractical in India.. Both class will give about the same mileage I guess.
. I just wanted to clarify the FE part of these supersport/superbikes, that's all.
I agree with your point though that 600cc makes more sense in India compared to a 1000cc, considering everything from FE, control, affordability, maintenance, etc.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Well I still doubt the term about ZZR 14 -Fastest production Hyperbike on the planet-. Well yeah, How can we confirm the same until it beats the BMW S1000 RR HP4. Being a hard core Green Monster lover I can't deny the monopoly of the Beamer in Superbike world.Life is a road, therefor I wander !!!

The BMW S1000RR HP4 and the ZX14R are in no comparison. One is a Superbike made to go around a track in the fastest way while the other is build to catch it's tops speed in the fastest possible time.Originally posted by KennyKL01 View PostWell I still doubt the term about ZZR 14 -Fastest production Hyperbike on the planet-. If there is a drag, the ZX14R is a winner. But it can't go around the track like the BMW HP4 can. I don't see the reason for comaprison.Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Re: LIVE UPDATES: kawasaki Ninja ZX10r and ZX14R launch
Imports of motorcycles below 800cc are not permitted to protect domestic industry (Now don't ask me which industry and what products our Govt. is trying to protectOriginally posted by broken87 View PostCan somoene confirm this btw, I never asked this on xBhp. A guy from USA on youtube claiming to be a professor in Economics told me, that 600cc is actually banned in India, been banned for years and hence we don't see any official launches of 600cc class bikes (only imports are seen on the road), this move is intended to protect the domestic market. Is this information true ?
) There is no ban on importing it as CKD and / or manufacture of bikes below 800 cc. eg. Ninja 650 & range of Hyosung bikes.
The real reason these companies are not launching 600cc bikes in supersport class would be extremely expensive and potential customer may pay a couple of lakh more and get a litre class bike.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Just look at the size difference between 14r and 10r
10r looks so puny when 14r is beside..

Re: LIVE UPDATES: kawasaki Ninja ZX10r and ZX14R launch
I see, so it is possible as CKD for 600cc supersport. Also I heard about the homoglation process.. 600cc has to be homoglated ? and it's an expensive affair ?Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostImports of motorcycles below 800cc are not permitted to protect domestic industry (Now don't ask me which industry and what products our Govt. is trying to protect

Re: LIVE UPDATES: kawasaki Ninja ZX10r and ZX14R launch
Great, now lets say there are people with $$ to buy a 200hp bike, $$ to maintain it, $$ to fill it with the required 97 octane fuel, what are they supposed to do with such a bike? Go around town posing in first gear?
I was once stuck in pretty bad stop & go traffic in summer alongside a guy riding a Hayabusa wearing full riding gear. The thing was so hot it it was like being close to a furnace, imagine the condition of the guy sitting on it.
Yes there might be a rare few who have the bank balance to buy such bikes along with the skill to ride it like its meant to be ridden - on a track-day blast at BIC.
But otherwise in the Indian context these bikes make absolutely no sense at all.
(Sorry for being negative, now lets get back to being excited...:-) )Last edited by incipient; 09-06-2013, 02:18 AM.

Re: LIVE UPDATES: kawasaki Ninja ZX10r and ZX14R launch
Theorotically ? Yes. But neither of us seem to be a bike manufacturer so don't know what our discussion in this direction would achieve.Originally posted by broken87 View PostI see, so it is possible as CKD for 600cc supersport.
Yes and Yes. However, if Hyosung can do it with their products, if Kawasaki can do it with their single 650 cc product, I think that others may also afford it.Originally posted by broken87 View Post600cc has to be homoglated ? and it's an expensive affair ?
