re: Triumph Motorcycles Launch 10 motorcycles in India : Price, specs and more
The way i see it.. the bonnies will sell higher nos. followed by speed triples simply based on the price mark. It is quite a disappointment considering the fact that the earlier proposed price was way lesser then the current ones especially for the Daytona 675. I wonder how will the enthusiasts take it? For 13.5 onroad approx for a 675R, if someone has the budget to shell out so much, they might as well wait out a bit and go for a litre class in the likes of Kwackers, R1s or CBRs.

I knew the prices before. But chose not to believe the news. Hoping that they were wrong!
Super disappointed!

If Daytona was ~8 lakhs, I would have booked it tomorrow. Now it is out of my list.
But the good thing is, my money is with me and Kawasaki Z800 is launching soon. So is Z1000. Maybe there is a miracle and Kawa launches the ZX6R also!
All hopes are not lost!
Someone please make a Hitler meme for this!Last edited by nitrosatya; 11-28-2013, 08:45 PM.

How much will be the wind blast if the street triple is used for touring for long distances (1000 kms a day)? I have seen many FZ1s used for long distance touring in India. Ninja 650 is a better bet for tourer but, if the wind blast part is bearable, its always good to have a bike that got better chassis and suspension bits, and some 30 additional of that stuff
we always talks about. and truck load of character!

I wish daytona was around 8L. They have priced the rest of the lot quite reasonably. Now if only such ventures encouraged other biggies to bring in their middleweights into the fray. It would be a dream come true if there were R6s and ZX6rs launched here, but that still remains a lucid dream for many.Last edited by Ezilkannan; 11-28-2013, 11:14 PM.2013 R15(Sold) | 2014 Duke 390 (Sold) | 2022 Adv 390 | 2022 Ninja 300

re: Triumph Motorcycles Launch 10 motorcycles in India : Price, specs and more
from its looks, its looking like 250cc single cylinder which will be good for 150kmph true top seed but I am dreaming for this thing to come India soon because I think it will be an affordable machine in comparison to ninja650 and original street tripple. As far as touring is concerned I think I can manage easily. For me 80-90 is ideal speed for Indian roads. As per some article on web and magazines triumph will manufacture 250cc bikes in India, so we can expect it to be priced below 2 lacs as its naked bike with single cylinder set up which will save cost for sure....Originally posted by kochumvk View PostI hope you have done enough research on this, can you clarify on following:

Oops, I thought you are interested in street triple itself! 250 must be more than an year away. Problem is that 80-90 kmph will not work when we need to do say 1000 kms a day. I think you will be able to maintain a much higher speed easily on this 250. And you may wanna do itOriginally posted by Naveen1985 View Postfrom its looks, its looking like 250cc single cylinder which will be good for 150kmph true top seed but I am dreaming for this thing to come India soon because I think it will be an affordable machine in comparison to ninja650 and original street tripple. of course I would like to test my bike to its limits and as far as naked vs faired is concerned, I like babes in bikinis more than ladies in sarees...Originally posted by kochumvk View PostOops, I thought you are interested in street triple itself! 250 must be more than an year away. Let's pray together for the same..Originally posted by Ezilkannan View PostNow if only such ventures encouraged other biggies to bring in their middleweights into the fray. It would be a dream come true if there were R6s and ZX6rs launched here, but that still remains a lucid dream for many.
I also hope that now Japanese will also think of launching their middleweights after noticing the extra profit margin by Triumph
