Haha. I feel like a stupid now. :P. May be, I just blabbered because it feels good to live the dream I always dreamt of as a child.

My dad loves biking too, he might as well come to Bangalore next week to share the joy with me. He never bought a good bike in spite of earning several folds more than me because mom said that he should ride a car & bikes are risky. (

So you now know what to ask the girl before committing now

Btw are they giving you any goodies with the bike? Also how are the dealers? Have they setup an svc? Have you checked the facility?

        Haha. That's true.

No goodies, I didn't ask actually. Service Centre is supposed to be ready as they've to do a self-check of the bike before delivering. (at least, that's what the dealer told when I booked the bike). There was no showroom or the service centre when I booked the bike as I gave the booking amount before the official date. I just hope that we don't have any issues like that.

I think the room straight from the entrance is the service centre, which is pretty small and can handle one or two bikes I guess but then how many bikes would need servicing? And the showroom is right near my office and I have been there many times now (sit on triple and other bikes, drool and come back )

Btw, have they offered test rides to you guys who booked?

Test rides start from Wednesday. (so I was told by Karan).

But, my bike's coming to Bangalore on Thursday so who cares now!!! Anyways, I'll post it here if I come to know about the test rides.

Congrats from my side once again. You MUST maintain a detailed ownership thread and update it frequently. I say MUST again

PS I guess you're waiting for the right picture to upload your avatar. I guess that happens after the delivery

@shadyabhi - Congratulations in advance! Yes, please create a separate thread on your entire experience with Triumph, would love to read it.

With regards to insurance, please opt for Zero Depreciation Insurance. Zero Depreciation insurance would cost you around 4-5K more than normal insurance but the 100% claim will really help you in case of a mishap. You can opt for zero depreciation for the first 3 years only and post that you can only get normal insurance for your bike. I have zero depreciation insurance for my N650 and it costed me 2.8K over and above normal insurance.

P.S. 50 bookings on opening day is crazy! Especially considering their steep prices.

Thanks. And yes, I'm opting for zero depreciation. Triumph by default quoted ₹16494 and after adding zero depreciation policy, it's around ₹21000 (I'm yet to receive the new invoice).

Just to add a little context, 50 bookings didn't happen on day 1. Majority of the bookings that happened (including mine) were unofficial bookings by paying the dealership even before the showroom got opened. The way I came to know about this way of booking was from Sukesh in "Lets Gear Up". There was a risk factor and there were people who were ready to take that risk, including me.

It's kind of sad that the people who booked on first day of dealership opening were already 50 bookings behind..

Congrats on buying one of the best middleweight naked I always wanted to buy. Unfortunately I couldn't wait much longer and brought a FZ last October. Please share the detail ownership report when possible.

shadyabhi. Congrats in advance for the t(T)riumph (pun definitely intended)

Please, could you check on the delivery schedule for the Bonnevilles for me? I am hesitant in committing to the bike more due to the abject lack of ASCs as of now than the price (which is admittedly a bit to high to justify the hoary heritage). Riding down from Sri Ganganagar to Delhi for a service would be okay. But to Bangy/Hyd would swallow up precious leave days.

Again, congrats and thanks in advance.

Thanks. I just hope that there are no delays and the bike gets delivered by next Sunday.

Thanks. I surely agree on the prices part. They are definitely high. When I booked the bike unofficially, I expected the price to be around 8.5 on-road but it ultimately came out to be 9.15 for me. Being a guy with a job, it definitely matters to me. I earlier thought of buying a "Arai" helmet (around ₹60k) but then I settled with "HJC RPHA 10+ Lorenzo Replica" (32k) for the time-being.

I'll let you know definitely but generally they say 3 months to be safe. They said the same thing to me but here I am, getting my bike delivered in 7 days.

Is this the Street triple R or the standard version ? Is it the one with adjustable forks ? For some reason, I assumed that this was the R version...

There is no R version for Street Triple in India. So, no, it doesn't have adjustable forks. I test-rode the bike in the city and it wasn't too harsh on the bumps.

PS: Less than 24 hours for my StreetTriple's delivery.
