re: Triumph Motorcycles Launch 10 motorcycles in India : Price, specs and more

Great to finally see Triumph making the market.. I am happy with the pricing. As far as I am concerned, everywhere 600/750cc bikes are about $1-2k cheaper than 1000cc SBKs and there at 11.4 ex it's about 4.5L cheaper than the cheapest SBK Kzx10r at 15.7 ex.

I am interested in Bonnie and Street Triple and the pricing is perfect. IMO Bonnie is better than HD Superlow in every way & at same price.. it's a winner for me. Though many like will try and stretch up to Street Triple

    Thanks SunilG and Triumph.

Triumph has proudly announced that all the bikes showcased were assembled in India, unlike all the Litre class bikes(CBU) which are currently sold here!

The explorer is around 1215CC. icemang: I guess you are on-course with your Bonneville booking.

I was hoping they launch the Tiger so that the adventure bike market opens up in India. Hopefully KTM is listening so that we can have an affordable version.

with ckd and current agreements that india has a jump of 2 L price as compared to what was declared in auto expo is a simple ploy to hog in more profits at the beginning given all the excited queries they receiving from like minded enthusiast else simply doesnt make sense except for bonni

yes show khatam paisa hajam scenario now

maybe one year down the line there will be a definite revision

for those comparing please understand CKD and CBU have a different pricing model altogether...

Extremely disappointing pricing on a CKD Daytona R. 11L ex-showroom for $13K bike is expensive compared to the <6L for $8K N650. I guess I'll have to save further and get a litre class directly but my back will be too weak for a supersport by then

Almost same time one year back when I was in the market to buy a new big bike, my options included Street Triple and Daytona 675 because of the mouth watering prices they announced in Auto Expo. I was seriously considering the Street 675 but as a result of the never ending wait and no official news from Triumph, I went ahead and bought the '12 N650. Today, finally Triumph motorcycles are launched and looking at their pricing just makes me more attracted towards my N650.

Triumph says these bikes are CKD units from their Manesar plant and still such high prices makes me wonder how can it be CKD pricing. They should have rather introduced Daytona 675 without the R and sold the bike may be 1.5L cheaper. I feel sad for those enthusiasts who were waiting for a couple of years saving up for buying one of these at a reasonable price.

You did a good job getting an N650 and enjoying it instead of waiting for these retards to launch their 'Bugatti Veyrons'. I guess a supersport enthusiast should forget inline engine and install sport bars on N650 and enjoy.

They could have introduced normal Daytona at 8.5L or max 9L, anything more than that creates a mental barrier of paying XX L for a 600 CC bike, which is not a good thing

                      Relax guys!

We had conveyed this feedback to Triumph officials, including their MD, about the Daytona and we DO believe that they'll launch the non-R version of the Daytona soon, which will be priced cheaper than the R.

With CBU prices for CKD units, Triumph seems to be determined to do exactly the opposite of what its name suggests i.e. FAIL!!!!!

That still doesn't cut it, Sir!
How much do you expect on the difference in pricing even if they release the non-R version?

Really appreciate the good work. The regular, non-R Daytona might just do the trick.

The regular 675 will be about 1-1.5L less. Still very expensive and deviates highly from what they had mentioned at the 2012 expo. Not all models have deviated that much though. So, why the Daytona?

11.4 Lakhs ex-showroom, add 13.32 tax in Bangalore + 22k Insurance, on-road stands 13.32 lakhs in KA. Irony of awaiting patiently since year+, the price has tattered hopes of many, mine is annihilated to crest.

We call it CKD, so how does it work differently for different models with a variation of 2 lakh+ on Daytona. The only savior would be the Standard Daytona, do we really need Ohlins suspension, quick shifter etc. when we do not even have dedicated race tracks except a couple in the country.

Triumph be the savior and launch the Standard model to enlighten some spirit on prospective buyers which hold the gravitated passion but not the premium moolah!
