    New dealer in Pune

    Hark, all Pune Triumph aspirants.

Triumph will open a showroom in Pune in a tie-up with B U Bhandari in the first/second week of Mar. It was supposed to open on 14 Feb but some delays ensued so March.

The man to contact is Mr Ashwin Deshpande at 9850 066 663.

For oldies and/or oldie lovers like me, the Bonnie will be Rs 6,76, 196 OTR under Pune regn; the PCMC regn would be lower.

Will update when the bookings open

Let the good times roll on a non green bike for you. Congrats on getting probably second best middleweight naked on planet.

        Enjoy!

Second best? Are you talking about Z800?

Z800 is 50 kg heavier than street triple!

I will put street triple R at #1

And between regular street triple and the z there will be many bikes in my rank list.

What are the views of the experts here about the Bonneville. Is it the most perfect big bike entry cruiser out there as some are making it out to be?

I have a couple of videos of the bike being tested by some magazines. However, they are too big to be uploaded.

Search for reviews on MotoUSA, RideApart etc. The Go Magazine review has the lovely blue and white model SE.

                    Hi EveryOne ...

I am goin to touch upon a very critical and blacked out situation that I am facing currently about ST. I had got all the details shared here and I desperately wanted to go for a Triumph Daytona 675 for a very long time... Since thats a far cry now, I am keen on getting ST to my garage. had talked with the relevant guys in Pune for the same and obtained all necessary information. And I was pretty convinced and happy.. untill......
I paid a visit to Kawasaki Showroom yesterday and Boom ... my eagerness and inclination for Triumph seemed to be shaking since then.
Its clearly a Heart over Head Matter thing for me now.
The z800 prices is very close to ST onroad in Pune and looks much meaner than ST on papers as well. Has more power useable power and has all those things wrking in favor as services and delivery times.

Heart says ST and Mind says z800 as its like getting more in the same price...!!!

Anyone has any comparo of the two staked against one another... I have been looking for a conclusive comparison but havent found anything... I am really stuck with my choices in my head and am not able to clear the picture.
Or anyone facing same dilemma ...??

                    thanks..

To put it in simple terms, Z800 is 40kg heavier than ST (weighs around 220kg total) and has better power (due to more cc) has slightly more top speed and looks better than ST for sure.

Where ST gets more points is in its handling & flick ability (can be attributed to its light weight), low end torque and an addictive exhaust note.

You can find comparisons of the two in youtube (I had seen couple of videos) and overall they preferred ST over Z800, but its a personal choice.

For you, Z800 might be better choice since there is a showroom in Pune and servicing wont be a hassle, unlike ST.

But whichever bikes you go for, both are sure put a smile on your face everytime the throttle is opened

Z 800 is 229 kg without abs and 231 kg with abs about 10 kgs heavier than its elder brother.

Where is this weight coming from?
It have an inferior frame frame mainly. Made of steal. Power difference is not that much in dyno.

And yes around 50kg difference is a dealbraker in my books with current pricing.

If I am you I will buy stripe ( I am living in Pune) a showroom will open in Pune.

Riding dynamics of stripe will much better.

I haven't seen even a single review in reputed international sites where z800 comes out as a winner.

It sure got a smooth motor.

But stripe will be a much more fun bike to ride. I don't know about services.

Read all the comparisons on reputed websites before deciding.

Congrats, a cool looking bike there and thanks for nice HighRes pic. I see its shod with Corsa tyres, do you think we it is available here or have to go for other brands when its due for replacement? A small front visor would make it even better I feel. Please open a thread of your own.

Thanks. About the HighRes pics, that's my Note3 in auto mode doing the job. . The tires are already in stock at the Bangalore showroom if there is a need to replace them. I've not explored the warranty T&C yet but someone here said that it has a stupid clause which discourages use of different make tires in warranty period.
