Finally something nice. Precision Motors was a fraud and its owner Ashish (Chor)dia is already entangled in legal issues. Was bound to happen.
    Happy for Audi/Ducati.

Hope this move would also help them bring down prices. But thinking otherwise - why didn't they enter into a JV with some manufacturer here?

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Meh! It's not surprise to see even Aprilia following suit. But India is getting a good stronghold of the Euro brands.
              Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
              The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

              THE END

Good to see reputed brands entering India directly, instead of relying on Indian partners.
At least we can hope for better service & support...and lesser fraudulent practices !

                  Probably you have missed this:

New brands entering India is a good thing, but banking entirely on their own infrastructure isn't. The prospective buyers will buy the products faster than they can set up their support infrastructure - and when the demand for infrastructure would be the most, there will be a gaping hole. When veteran players like Honda have struggled with similar issues, what can we expect from the new entrants like Ducati and Triumph?

                    hello bbsrailfan,

I am aware of the issue mentioned above and indeed it is sad to see a globally renowned brand giving hardships to its customers. Just wanted to know, whether this has been happening all across India or only at particular Kochi dealership ?

Agree with you, new entrants do take time to build infrastructure and service facility network & in the meantime customers face problems. Let's hope Ducati will be a different experience.

                    Cheers,

Cases of poor service by HD have been reported all over, though this demonstration at Kochi was probably the first of its kind. But again, think of it - has ANY manufacturer in India provided a satisfactory level of service till date?

We are cursed with bad service. Ducati, Harley, BMW, Skoda... some of the best brands. But their service is pathetic. Had my share of horror experiences at Honda (2 and 4 wheeler), Maruti and Chevrolet too.
Touchwood, KTM and Toyota guys are still good. They always make me smile (almost always).

                          Awesome News...

And a bit more justified price tags and excellent after sales service would be more than welcome!!!

                            Its been long time coming.
                            1. In addition to the great bikes, I hope we get "reasonably priced" Spare parts in stock here.
                            2. I "Pray" that Ashish Chordia's Precision does not run the dealership here in Delhi... Its as good as not getting any service...
