What would be the fate of this. . ? I seriously think Suzuki needs better designers, also as I think I read it here or somewhere else, this bike is more of a premium commuter rather than a street bike or a tourer. . . Speaking further, all depends on it's pricing. . .

Yeah waiting for parts for months is a painful affair. Part stocking is directly proportional to sales of the bike as well. If this one is not selling seriously it will be troublesome.

Build quality seems very good. Good to have all bread of them. This segment is getting a steroid injection

Business is swinging the Asian way.

But we need to see similar growth in the other segment too.

Versay, vstorm and company have to come and those Honda 500 brothers.

But nobody seems interested

The indian bike market is not mature enough for versatile bikes. Here sales is directly related to only 3 things.

1. Mileage (hence the splendor still survives with a 4 decade old engine)
2. numbers (bhp/rupee, hence the success of the dukes)
3. Full fairing (still the biggest factor for most of the showoff, ignorant bunch, termed as "bikers" in India)

So any bike which doesnt have any of these 3 is bound to have low sales in India.

Coming to suzuki, They really need to work on their after sales support. A friend of mine had horrible experience with his gs150. He was so disheartned by the service station that he sold off the bike in just 2 years.

I honestly like the Inazuma. Yes, its fugly and low on power compared to others in its catagory. But it also looks comfortable and as someone pointed out, it would blend in rather than stand out.

So its a good proposition for someone not seeking attention, like me. I am very happy that the r25 is coming and it will be a bombshell. But for someone like me who enjoys the simpler things in motorcycling, inazuma is the way to go.

Hehe, "awkward" is putting it mildly. In profile, the headlight it reminds me of the old Yamaha Libero which is a major turn off (*shudder*). I wish them all the success they can handle - I'd hate for them to burn their fingers now and play safe in India for another decade. I hope they manage that 1.5L figure.

the bike is actually manufactured in China (via a Suzuki JV partner) and not in Thailand. India has a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Thailand, so Ninjas are here. However, this route of CKD may not work to Suzuki's cost advantage. Unless they manufacture the bike for cheaps in China - anyone knows how much it retails in Mainland China?

Anyone who expects this bike to cost around 1.5 is clearly daydreaming.
250cc Liquid cooled, inline twin, Fuel injected + CKD = will roughly put it around 2 lakhs if not more.

I still feel this looks better than the new Karizma-R for some reason. not sure whether it is because of editing. the pic makes the bike seem like it is of high quality..

LoL anyways, we haven't seen both of the bikes in flesh, personally I feel the Karizma will look better than this, again let's not go further comparing the two's looks now , . . Anyways, let's see what this premium commuter does for Suzuki. . .

I quite like this bike for this no-non-sense styling, would keep a low profile everywhere but still would do everything that you wish for.
You can use this to do your groceries on Saturday and take it for a long trip on Sunday. Reliability have always been their forte.

I am expecting parts would be of superior quality and twin cylinders to give me good torque. Its heavy weight would take care of stability even though naked .

Even tough I keep aside the pricing question (where KTM has set a benchmark), I have my apprehensions about the SVC experience.
I distinctly remember last year when I went there to test ride Swish for my wife and was utterly disappointed . They wanted me to book first and then take test-ride and this happened in 2 showroom. One in BTM (Apple Auto) and in Banshankari next to Devegowda Petrol bunk.

They always had wonderful products starting from Samurai,Shogun and then legendary Fiero (1st iteration) and now Access but sadly their SVC ruined it . I will think 10 times before giving a LC ,twin cylinder 250cc to these guys.

The biggest weakness of this bike actually is - in a strange way - it's biggest strength.
Imagine a Ninja or a CBR or even a R15 parked in a relatively low-profile area - the bike will attract more than just attention. It will attract stratches, smudges from people fiddling around. And worse, it will attract muggers. It advertises that the owner is a deep pocketed guy (even though the owner is deep in loans). The GW250, on the other hand, won't attract any unwanted attention. You can leave it in a parking lot, and it will go just as unnoticed as an Apache or a Pulsar.

I am afraid you may be right but if that's the case, RIP Inazuma

Would have made a perfect tourer & a VFM buy if OTR is around 1.5L Blore But like others have mentioned, maintenance would also be high since the parts have to be imported!

It cannot go un-noticed. It looks good apart from front which is slightly smaller compared to the rear and mid section. Its got dual exhausts which will give it different and beffier look from rear....

I didn't say Pulsars and Apaches were ugly
The point I was trying to put across was that it would blend in easily and would attract significantly less attention than it's faired companions. As for the twin exhausts - I am sure this would attract more attention

I think you are missing those people who like dragging and than bashing hero and yamaha like hell. That is why you are taking initiative this time as you know those people are away from this silent thread may be because suzuki is not in giant race. I like this post of yours as i know it can give that much needed spark to this thread....
