Wow! Some real good analysts here!!!!!

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

The Honda CBR250R is priced at less than 2 lakhs on average. The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is priced at around 3.5 lakhs on average.

That's a whopping 1.5 lakhs price gap! Certainly, the gap in the price range is enough to justify introducing a bike which will fill this segment. In all likelihood, the new Ninja 250 will be priced very competitively compared to the Honda CBR250R.

And, as with all businesses, higher sales numbers is always better. Kawasaki, as motorcycle manufacturing company (among others), will I'm sure aspire to achieve higher sales. This strategy might work for them, without hurting their brand image ie. of manufacturing very capable entry level sports bikes.

On the other hand, IF the naked Ninja 250 is launched in India, it will face stiff competition from KTM Duke 390 and surely the new naked 250 will look very bleak compared to the 390.

Is it my imagination or the bike's headlight looks like P200 NS? Any relation to Bajaj sold as Kawasaki Rouser in Indonesia?

The new Kawasaki supersport has been spotted being tested at a circuit. Interestingly, Kawasaki brought along some other bikes for comparison, namely the 2013 Ninja 250, 2013 CBR 250R, and the Kawasaki Ninja 150RR (2 stroke supersport, for those who aren't aware).

It seems that Kawasaki will target this bike as a performance machine, but remains to be seen how fast it is compared to the other 3 competitors.

Some supposed specs have also been leaked to the Indonesian media. The engine that will be employed is from the KLX/D-Tracker 250.

Max Power will be around 28HP @ 9,700 rpm, max torque will be around 22Nm @ 8,200 rpm. The power figure is significantly better than the CBR250R.

Other speculated figures are a top speed of ~150 kmph and a 200-metre dash takes only 9.7 seconds.

We are seeing so much of news about quarter liter bikes and its exiting but only Honda made it real for us and we should be grateful. All these other companies are just news for us us, nothing more at least until 2015-16.

I don't think that it will take anything more than 2014 for Kawasaki to launch these bikes since the road testing has started which is one of the last steps before the launch/production starts.

I doubt. There is no mention of bike launch in Kawasaki Indonesia website.
