  • Kawasaki Ninja 250SL

A new Kawasaki bike has been spotted doing the rounds on the streets of Indonesia.

Via iwanbanaran blog, the bike was seen to have similar proportions to the CBR150R and r15.

    http://iwanbanaran.com/2013/12/31/spyshot-motor-ninja-misterius-tertangkap-dijalanan-ibu-kota/

It was also observed that the bike had only 1 exhaust pipe! It is speculated that it might be a 150cc or 250cc single cylinder engine, though the former is more likely.

With Kawasaki entering the fray of 150cc supersport styled bikes, competition in that segment is bound to heat up, with Honda also expected to update their 150cc offering after the major facelift of the CBR250R.

Hmm, so tough times call for tough decisions. I don't care if they bring it to India or not because our desi companies give a much better overall deal in these lower ranges.

The rear looks exactly like the current generation N250/N300. The dimensions are ditto. My guess would be that it's not a 150cc. Its the naked version of the current N250/N300. It's the much anticipated ER250 naked.

The naked Ninja 250 is already available. It was launched first in Indonesia sometime back.

What if it's Naked P150/180 by Bajaj, it is being tested in Indonesia by Kawasaki maybe. Just my 2 cents
                      I am back!

                        re: Kawasaki Ninja 250SL

Definitely not a naked bike.. look close to the last pic of the post.. the side mirror seems to be protruding from below the handlebar.. like how it will be for full faired bikes.. It definitely cannot be a Pulsar..

                          re: Kawasaki Ninja 250SL

Clever play by Kawasaki. A ninja 150 as a starting bike makes sense. But I dont think it will come to India via CBU or CKD since it will have a huge money difference considering the other two sports bike of that segment. Wish it was a 250cc single, or an India specific 250R.

                            re: Kawasaki Ninja 250SL

Kawasaki are already late into the 150s game. R15 and CBR have become household names in the 150cc sport segment, and Kawasaki had nothing under their belt since the 2-stroke '96 ZX150RR. This baby Ninja would need to have some serious performance under it's belt to challenge the class-leading R15 and the CBR150R.

OT: lots of pics of the beautiful Ninja150RR (a.k.a ZX150RR) here: *: NINJA 150 RR

A new pic has emerged of the upcoming Kawasaki bike. This time though it's in the naked flavour. Surprisingly, it is having a trellis frame!

New info has pointed towards a possible single cylinder 250cc engine for the new bike.
