    Awesome!

One thing mate. You said engine is not a new design but it's a single cylinder. Kawa had 250cc single?

They have used the engine from the KLX/D-Tracker 250. It's just in a different state of tune.

From the pics, we can easily gauge the difference in size and proportions between different generations of baby Ninjas.

That's a whopping 1.5 lakhs price gap! Certainly, the gap in the price range is enough to justify introducing a bike which will fill this segment. In all likelihood, the new Ninja 250 will be priced very competitively compared to the Honda CBR250R.

And, as with all businesses, higher sales numbers is always better. Kawasaki, as motorcycle manufacturing company (among others), will I'm sure aspire to achieve higher sales. This strategy might work for them, without hurting their brand image ie. of manufacturing very capable entry level sports bikes.

On the other hand, IF the naked Ninja 250 is launched in India, it will face stiff competition from KTM Duke 390 and surely the new naked 250 will look very bleak compared to the 390.
Bro it the price would be the same as you quoted then it should be a good pick....

                re: Kawasaki Ninja 250SL

Does the new 250 have the same alloys, same disc , same calipers, same swing arm etc as that of the N300 ? If so, under 2L in India is impossible unless you make these parts in India. If these are made in India, then existing N300 and N250R owners can use these parts at half the cost they are paying now .
But I dont think this bike is coming to India at all. !

Just my view. If Kawasaki had a plant in India, this one would have been an instant success at around 2L mark. CKD means overpricing. Now, who will take a 250cc single at 3L ?

A very valid point. However, India is a very big and important market to ignore, especially when you have 250cc single that has the potential, unless you are Yamaha and think otherwise...

Any news on Z250R? That looks like a juicy naked....
