        1. If it would be as good as N300 in every/almost every aspect, it'll have buyers. A twin cyl 250cc bike is not meant for the mass junta anyways!

        2. All the best to KTM! They have made VFM bikes, but sadly the issues/niggles are a bit on the higher side. Hope those are resolved/reduced with RC series.

Few guys here are really cry babies. You guys complain without even knowing anything. Over night you want a 250cc bike with almost everything in it.
These things are not decided by yamaha alone. This is decided by yamaha india officials. During the launch of r15 there were officials who fearlessly took chance of launching r15 here. Which worked. After that the officials changed. And they never took chance with higher cc bikes. The yamaha India decides what to launch in India.
Yamaha needs to first enlarge its production units (which it is making) to even make the 250cc locally or occupy other bikes. After that only they can launch 250 here. It's too early to expect launch since the prototype was launched 2 months back.

Dude, no one is crying, or expecting a big bike overnight its just that, too much fanfare was uncalled for, for such an event. Even their tag line was hinting towards a scooter...

Dude you're correct..but you see all these fanfare are simply spontaneous...people, like me, love Yamaha, the brand, so much for their super performing machines, that we simply ignore everything and wait patiently for a new model of another great bike from Yammy stable...and this time it is proving to be a long wait for us who are eagerly waiting for a 250cc segment bike from our beloved Yamaha (and we are ready to wait)...so thats why all this fanfare...be it turn out to be a kids event or a scooter launch...its simply exciting for us when Yamaha says that they will be having a product launch...

In an era where safety is gone to the dogs, it's really a clever and wise move to initiate the children safety classes, kudos to Yamaha on that part. The emotional treatment acts duo to the parents too, considering safety for their family as a whole. Brilliant.

                          Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Yamaha Scooter Launch - Live Updates

So are you feeling disappointed with what Yamaha launched today? Yes, as a motorcyclist, we all are. We all wanted a full blown quarter liter machine from Yammies. We were begging for it, a lot of people are still begging.

But hold your thoughts for a while and think with a reasonable mind. Do you just see a cartoon figure dancing with some kids on childish soundtrack? If yes, then you are short-sighted and failed to see the big picture.

I personally give a big thumbs up to Yamaha for coming out what they call the Yamaha Children Safety Program or YCSP. Do you see anybody else in the country doing the same, i.e., teaching and educating the children on how to become a better road user. Don't we really curse our education system everyday for failing to produce citizens who behave on the road, either as a pedestrians or rider or driver? So now when someone is actually doing that and putting their resources towards this cause, we all are making fun of them. Not done. Guys, they sent a team of around a dozen individual to Japan to train them, and these people will be roaming around the country, visiting schools, teaching kids the road etiquette.
Frankly speaking, I did the same, but as a father, I think this is the right step in the right direction, however small it may be.

I think this thread needs a closure! We've had enough of jokes.
