The RX3 is a thorough Adventure Tourer in looks and practical purposes. What it does differently is that it employs a 250cc mill for getting it around from one place to another, rather than a 1000+cc engine. This bike is sold in the UK as the Honley RX3 and in Russia as the Minsk TRX300i. Zongshen is one of the better known motorcycle manufacturers of China and has been producing scooters for the Piaggio group since 2004 with the Piaggio Zongshen JV.
The RX3 is a single cylinder 250cc with a SOCH 4 valve head and produces around 25bhp @ 9000rpm and 22Nm @ 7000rpm. The motorcycle also sports a 6 speed gear box and a 16 litre fuel tank to give it a decent range. The bike is pretty darn heavy at 175 kg and will be quite porky fully loaded and two up, where the quarter litre mill might just feel a tad too small on the main highways. The RX3 can fit in around 55 litres of luggage, leaving the rider with ample scope to fit in his world along!

Is the Indian Market ready for such a product? Would the touring fraternity of xBhp be interested in a quarter litre or thereabouts Adventure Tourer? Would Indian Manufacturers Bajaj, Hero or TVS dare be the first to produce and introduce this genre of motorcycles in India?
