Doesn't high end cars have this technology?

I remember a drive in a fellow colleague's BMW. He proudly explained the smartness of his car when it automatically got shut and started on a signal.

Yes technology comes in high end cars as well, but does not look very expensive or its not just that much big as I have seen some high end cars runs less cylinders while in city to save fuel & environment and runs all cylinder while you turn on the race or sport mode....

But this technology is very good tor saving fuel....

AFAIK its a simple stop start tech.
If you are standing in a signal with the bike in neutral it will switch off the engine and then when you depress the clutch lever it comes to life again.
There by saving the fuel .
Will be useful in metro cities

Eh, what about the battery? It'll have to be cranked every time the engine is stopped. I don't think they are utilizing combustion to restart the engine, they are not gonna install sensors to get info about piston position like it's done in high end foreign (high end, even by foreign standards) cars.

They will have the regular cam shaft and timing chain to determine the spark timing to restart just some more powerful starter will do the job .
                      Not sure though

I really don't understand the point of this bike. They could have just incorporated this technology in the regular Splendor. I've just seen one of these bikes on the road so far. Doesn't look like is going to be a big hit. After the original CD100 the only bike to really sell was Splendor. All other bikes on the CD 100 platform have sort of failed. CD100SS, Sleek, Joy, Dawn, Street, Passion, Super Splendor, Glamour, Splendor NXG, CD Deluxe have never been able to capture the market.

HF deluxe is selling hot cakes. By the way. The sales differ from city to city and state to state.. i used to think the alto 800 was a big flop til i went to hill station where I found so many.. same with Nano.. i have seen a plenty of iSmart on roads here in Delhi NCR. But I dont understand what makes it iSmart.. lol
It is just another NXG which was a flop AFAIK..

Just another gizmo that automates manual cranking of engine. Wouldn't it be more effective if they provided engine kill switch for switching engine off? I mean, idling is not a fixed time. It varies with traffic and stuff. Also, what would the system do if it's batteries are going down or when the engine has starting trouble? Ultimately, IMO it's just waste of money..
