    I guess it would be the same engine with just larger jets or carb and the power would be produced at say 500 rpm higher, like what Bajaj did with Pulsar 150 UG 4.5.

      The power in the new xtreme sports is stretched to 15.2bhp, but what i have readed torque remains same at 12.8nm.

          Guys,
          Today i test ride the new extreme 2014. First i had a cbz extreme 2011 and gave to my brother. Now i own an Fzs 2012.
          What i feel is
          1. The bike is very lean and weight less(even lean than my old cbz which i loved a lot) it may be good thing which improves mileage and nimble.
          2. Instrument looks flimsy. Sure it looks like toy.
          3. Its not as smooth as fz.

          Good thing is
          1.Engine immobilizer
          2 . Mobile charging point for long trips.
          3. May be good mileage.
          4. Its more of a Commuter

            Engine gets smooth as more kms are clocked so a new bike can be little hard, front headlight fairing looks to me like an alien eyebrows, from rear the bike resembles of some superbike kind of feel, another drawback is bike's having open chain which i don't like(very personal although).

                I guess Hero also has the same kind of morons like elsewhere- they have reduced a once classy bike with a pedigree all its own to something of a mass commuter like splendour. I have watched the extreme series get a makeover after makeover which destroyed the personality of the bike each time. They feel gadgetizing the motorcycle makes it more macho which is actually contrary.
