I personally feels the bike looks a bit downmarket....
Does'nt have that BIG bike feels which mostly 150cc customers looks for...something sporty in less price and a bit fuel efficient too.
CBZ saga is gone now,no unique factor anymore, same like many other bikes now.

In the looks department, there is not much improvement, i feel. you can make it look different but we want it to look better, and there is a difference between the two.

Mobile Charger Socket is a Welcome thing.

          new instrument console is funky.

From some angles its looks like discover 125ST big cousion....
i assume Hunk will be a better buy in Hero stable, else Fz still hold the top position follwed by Bajaj Pulser.

The bike comes with immobilizer, a safety feature makes impossible to start the engine without right key(RF tag).. U can't hot wire either.. Engine never starts! Thats good in this 150 segment.

Front looks like some 100cc bike's head light with over design, also a bit less muscly for 150cc..

Looks like Hero has concentrated more on add-on features and less on the bike itself.

May be after a market feedback they will correct their strategy and bring out some muscly bikes with feel into 150cc segment with features.

No wonder many senior members refrain from visiting xbhp these days. All thanks to comments like these. What benefit does it give one by commenting negatives about a bike? "bikers respect each bike" is what i heard here. Seems like it has no meaning in these forums. If you do not like it, keep the views with you instead of posting them and degrading the quality. Freedom of speech, yeah i know. But not at the cost of degrading the quality of info available here. If someone comes to this thread to find technical info regarding this bike, they'll just end up reading crap..

+1000 to the post and superlike it. I seldom visit the news section that too if Hero news are posted then i never visit the page. Its because instead of anything positive all useless post will be there. Freedom of speech is a good excuse for posting anything, but why not post something positive rather than negative or crap. Same freedom of speech can be exercised to post something better or constructive. And the term " Bikers respect each bike" has literally become a joke. Now-a-days bikers are defined by the bikes the keep. The more expensive and imported brand the better biker. Most people feel that a biker is defined by the bike he keeps. But for me a biker is different. Even if a 55 year old man rides a splendor but maintains it like new he is a biker but if a young guy riding an CBR but never cleaning it himself is not a biker.I do not see anything wrong with the bike. Instead the bike looks lighter particularly the rear portion than the present model. Moreover the LED backlight looks much better. Also complaining about headlight then those pilot lamps just look at it during night and you will see how beautiful it looks. Also wider rear tyre and naked chain is a boon. My first set of modification on my extreme will be the o-ring chain and wider rear tyre. And engine immobilizer and side stand cut off is the best safety feature you can get from the bike at the price point. How important the engine immobilizer is i came to know when our new splendor+ was stolen from in-front of our house. And muscular looks then let me tell that although it doesn't look muscular but park the present extreme near any other 150 cc bike and the extreme looks bigger and taller than rest.

So you believe negetive comments should not be there? Granted, the language could have been better, but at core their comments are a general expression. They are unhappy with how the bike looks. Nothing wrong with it. If you want to do something constructive then explain the good features of the new extreme as mr. Sibun has done. Not just write a counter post.

Personally, I think the previous version of the bike looked better. Too many cuts and slashes on this one. Meter and headlamp dont look like they gel with the bike. A bit overdesigned, I would say. Although modern features like immobilisers, o ring chain and bigger tyre are welcome.
