Re: Yamaha Unveils New MT-125 (250cc MT-25 Very Likely)
Most of the street bikes and sbks have inverted shocks as they look cool and not for any gain in performance. It does help to make the suspension a bit harder, but, that can be easily achieved using normal forks too. The inverted forks gives a beefier look to the front side, a look that a street bike usually gives.Originally posted by Ron Syl View Post

I do agree about the cribbing part which is mostly unwarranted though even here you cannot dump all the blame to the "commuter-ish" people as you put it. Its basic human nature. Since you are so well versed with the whole biking world, maybe you find all the cribbing silly, but everyone cribs for something or the other. We all crib for an Emma-Watson'ish gf, but have we ever understood women ? No, sir, we have not. :P

Yeah it will be around 10-12k more. But if people can buy Vespa, amazingly super high prices for a gearless machine, they can buy this also.Originally posted by Ron Syl View PostYes FI Fz is being launched in few days. but the problem here is it might cost few thousands more. Which a commuter'ish guy wont understand and hence will say. "so much for a 150cc" and still wont stop cribbing
its like they want to marry scarlet and want her to cook and wash clothes

Exactly !Originally posted by ArnabC View PostYeah it will be around 10-12k more. But if people can buy Vespa, amazingly super high prices for a gearless machine, they can buy this also.
People will buy a quality product even if it costly slightly more (heck i would).
I have been riding my FZ-16 for over 2 years now and know what a capable machine it is. I would recommend the newer version to all who might be having the said budget. With new features (FI system and better power figures) this might turn out an extremely good option.
My only concern is that they should keep the design minimalistic like the present one and not degrade the macho feel with funky graphics and over designing
(I am talking about newer version of fz here)Last edited by nadz11.ns; 05-14-2014, 07:19 AM.

Re: Yamaha Unveils New MT-125 (250cc MT-25 Very Likely)
Whoa !!! Lots of glamour girls we're now talking about !!! Are we still talking about bikes?Originally posted by Ron Syl View PostDude, i would still want deepika instead of isha on r25
But I would put 2 cents for Deepika or Anushka, approval required from Virat who will make her sit on the TVS, on R25.
Another option is to have Sunny, not Deol or Gajjar bhai, who can surely show the wild side of Yamaha bikes.
Inverted forks, apart from lending a beefier look, doesn't actually add up any advantage over the normal ones to smaller bikes (I'm even including D390 in the list or better till the power range of D390) as far as I understoof. No wonder even Yamaha, Kawasaki or Honda doesn't use these for their bikes of similar range. I have ridden almost all the bikes, right from the FZ till the D390, for fair amount of time and by borrowing from friends, and didn't feel any special advantage for the D200 and D390, only KTM provides USDs for all their bikes, because of the USDs. So it doesn't matter even if R25 doesn't feature USDs. It would be the same old impeccable Yamaha handling, performance and reliability, still the USP for R15s, that we would like to have for the R25.Yamaha YZF R15 V 2.0 (Oct, 2012 - Present)

Re: Yamaha Unveils New MT-125; 250cc MT-25 Very Likely
Heard that the MT-125 won't be having ABS. Whereas Duke 125 comes with ABS. The MT-125 got awesome LED lights
. Would be a good replacement for My FZ-S.

Of course the price are not going to be anywhere near as the site specified. But there is a competition between the KTM and Yamaha in 125cc segment.VyshuVysakh

Yamaha is on going aggressive for the last couple of years globally.Originally posted by Ivin View PostAnd atlast , Naked R25 (I cant call it MT-25 yet unless Yamaha calls it) spied in Indonesia. I wonder when Yamaha India will wake up.
I doubt the Indian division will do anything
