Re: Yamaha R25 Launched in Indonesia
Exactly, I too feel the side profile of R25 is more aggressive and awesome while the front looks are ok'ish. The headlamps from side have striking resemblance to Mitsubishi Evo.

I personally feel that the headlamps on R25, from the side, look like a shark on prowl.Originally posted by ArnabC View PostR25's headlamps when looked at from front is very good but sidewise not so good, completely my personal opinion.

Re: Yamaha R25 Launched in Indonesia
Yes true !! R15 is a stunner in the looks department. But again looks is dependant on personal opinions.Originally posted by hss View PostAgree with you. I still think R15 is better looking than R25. Not saying that R25 is bad looking. Not at all. It does look good. It's just that the expectations that one has with looks of R series bikes of Yamaha don't meet with R25. That "connect" you get with R6 or R15, you don't feel the same way for R25.
R25's headlamps when looked at from front is very good but sidewise not so good, completely my personal opinion. I specially liked the swingarm of R15V2 mostly because of its meaty structure. I wished they could give the R25 the same swingarm.Originally posted by Doga View PostI on the other hand find the R25 better looking. The R15 is a looker sure, but is a bit skinny, despite the broad fairing. I know it's inspired from the R6 but the 6 looks well proportioned if a bit dated. Plus the R15 can doesn't look good to me. The R25 can is much better looking.
I like the headlamps on R25 more than anything else. They are refreshingly different. They may be similar but the R25 headlamp is better than CBR600RR headlamps(to look at). In fact I feel the 600RR doesn't look good, even with the recent refreshment it got, certainly not in the face of other 600s. The R6 despite being an old bike still looks good.
I have had the opportunity of laying my eyes on the countless R15 v2s in the office parking. It's pleasing to the eyes. THe least appreciable aspect of the design is the swingwarm which is extended as the rear mudguard. It looks awkward.

Yamaha have done a great job on the 250cc mill but in design department R25 lacks by big score (my opinion)
it looks good but not what we expected from a R series bike.
Look at other R bikes the mighty One (R1) The R6 they carry an aggressive & sharp styling which has became a trade mark for R series.
Even R15 & R125 carry that trait. Every time you look at them they look fresh just ready to attack the roads but R25 doesn't pulls the right string.
initially the bike looked great but now it doesn't appeals & looks more like curvy honda bikes.
p.s- this are my personal opinions.

I hope it is smaller as it makes it more compact and nimble on the road.

Re: Yamaha R25 Launched in Indonesia
Its just the side panels of the fairing of Ninja which is making it bigger than the R25...but in the end it all depends upon the road / track performance level of these bikes. But still I would like to add that Yam is bigger than the Kawaks...The dimensions for the Yam is LxBxH (in mm) 2090x720x1135 and for the Kawasaki its 2010x715x1110.

Re: Yamaha R25 Launched in Indonesia
and it being i-smart you will always wink at the ladies as they show.. with R25 on the contrary you might give them some aural nirvana just passing by.. but eventually the splendor wins as you don't get angry anymore..Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostReplying late since I was re-reading the posts for obvious reasons. You cannot pun the i-smart, because R25 may have 2 cylinders, but it doesn't have start-stop tech in it.
