Already people have been waited quite long time for R25.

After such a tempting launch, it's hard to wait.

Some Yamaha is actually late in delivering R25, where as other competitors like Bajaj and KTM are a bit ahead. When Yammie fans will be waiting for thier R25 same others would enjoy RC390.

Vixion was launched first in Indonesia, the bike is quite similar to the R15, the R15 was made in India, with many parts made in Indonesia, mostly mechanical and chassis parts, still many parts are still made there for the R15.

I dont understand whats new about this. even if its launched by oct or nov the bike will be on road in 2015 only. 6 months testing means it will end by 2014 end. how can they sell the bike when its testing is going on.

I feel this is more worse than CKD part.

So does this means Indians have to wait by 2015 ?? Oh God!!

Neither of any models are coming out. Not even NS200 Fi, so that we could have enjoyed NS200Fi untill we bring R25

ABS missing is a bad thing... Though not a deal breaker yet...
I guess the way Honda started offering ABS sometime after the launch of the CBR 250R, similarly Yamaha may do it following public response to the bike and feedback from customers once it is launched.. I guess may be one year down the line when they launch new colors

And going by Yamaha's previous track record, I think they will have a system that can be retrofitted on the R25 without ABS that will already be in the market.. but in the end this is just my thought..

High chances are that maybe for the first one year after launch, R25 will be a CKD, imported from Indonesia. Let's see what Yamaha has up its sleeve for us.

Same thought. There should be an option for ABS like CBR250R. Yamaha should have made it optional.

I remember the 20P1&20P2 series were imported from Indonesia. Hoping that repeats!

Why did yamaha missed ABS?? ABS would had added one more awesome feather to it's cap.

Was R15 launched in Indonesia first then in India. If yes then by what duration or difference did R15 was launched in India?? Probably same strategy would be there this time as well.

Yeah !! It should have been built on Delta-box frame for more stability while cornering. But let's check what is the cornering reviews for this bike. I believe that even it is based on tubular frame, it will have impeccable handling.

BTW, I liked the massive addtions to the console. It was required.

The one thing it doesn't have which it should have is the Delta box chasis.
The M1 and R15: all cornering machines have Delta box chasis.

While referring it as Baby M1, Yamaha should have considered Delta Box atleast.

Nevermind, just waiting for a good ride impression.

Yamaha R25, Indonesia Official Yamaha R25 delivery to the first 100 customers.

Just sharing some pictures from the event which provides a lot of technical specifications of the bike, seating posture, engine dynamics, sensors, suspension travel, weight distribution etc.:




































From the presentation it is pretty clear that Yamaha in a way has taken the Honda route for a street bike:

* Making an everyday sports bike with not too aggressive seating position.
* The R25 engine has a host of sensors and is a closed loop system unlike the R15 which was an open loop system. MAP, CKP, Lean Angle, coolant, oil pressure, O2 etc. are a few to name from the list.
* 50 - 50 weight distribution should provide one heck of a handling capabilities to the rider...
* Rear Mono Suspension
* The tire profile 110-70-17 and 140-70-17 means that Michelin/IRC/PSD pairs and others in that category should be easily swappable with the stock tires = under 10k cost for tire changes @13- 15k kms unlike the Metzelers for 390.
* 160-170 kmph (speedo indicated) should be easily doable on this vehicle.

Now all we have to do is eat, pray, love, beg and preach R25 to the Indian Yamaha counter part!!

Just wish they hadn't bothered designing a subjective looking bike and stuck that gem of the engine into an r125 (With strengthened chassis and ride of course)!!!
