Re: Hero MotoCorp hires BMW X7 designer for its motorcycles

He better brings some good design change to the Karizma twins, if possible (I dont think so).

Because the sales of both these have dropped down (atleast in my area), cause I haven't seen one on road even after so much time after launch.

Even the new downgraded fz(s) can be seen easily around. (No offence)

Maybe sales in your area aren't good, but as per the SVC in my area, newer models are selling more than classic ZMR. Also, we'd have to wait 3-4 years for a design change, so that the current model's life-cycle is over.

A good move by Hero and our companies must do all they can to remain relevant as technology changes fast and hence the tastes in the global market else they will end up like Royal Enfield.

I disagree your Honor

by the way.. I feel that hero should have stopped production of the old generation ZMRs some time back... I think they did.. Also up in Delhi, I haven't seen any except 2 new Karizma R.. like you said, they might want to clear out the old stock of ZMRs before proceeding further with the sales of new ones..

this move by Hero is a great one.. Hope we get good bikes in near future with good designs...

rreneav1987 and abhi7013 - Man come on chill yaar!. People have there own opinions and we have our. We cannot thrust our opinions on others or they cannot thrust there opinion on ours. Let haters speak as they want, haters needs thousands reasons to hate while Lovers need no reason to love. In-stead take it as than Lovers, haters think about it more. Regarding design then let me tell that who said the karizma twins are ugly haven't seen the bike in person nor have sat on it to see what is the advantage. Not all bikes can be designed small and light as if we are ridding on race track. Some needs to be bigger for persons with big build and for comfortable touring. And we know hero bikes are super comfortable. So no need of being angry on haters. Let them hate, Hero will be hero. Most haters thought hero will perish after Honda, but when it is slowly growing globally, some cannot digest it.

I am seeing nice gyan on hate and love, humor, horror, and what not! And about how haters gonna hate and need thousand reasons to hate while lovers need none. Thank you one and all for the disclosure. Coming back to my own post which I believe to be the culprit in the first place, it is nice to see the haters pick on the lame joke while lovers ignored the wishes for Hero Motocorp. To sum up, I am not surprised at people not picking the whole story and only on what interests them. Thats fine, and I would still wish Hero all the best for forthcoming models, and also assure one and all that henceforth there won't be any nitpicking on any sensitive and emotional brand bashing from my end. Apologies here.

On a serious note, all the best to Hero Motocorp to come up with awesome bikes which is all we wish at end of the day.
I think are obsessed with comedy nights with kapil and that is why you are cracking stupid jokes on a manufacturer which is a trendsetter. Bajaj, tvs and yamaha, they all are doing sticker jobs specially yamaha which should be crowned as the king of sticker jobs as they refresh their bike errrrrr.....i mean stickers after every 6 months. Bajaj is selling generation old pulsars with rocket lines whereas honda has even repainted unicorn with repsol colors in the past but I dont know why people like you criticize hero only. Hero stunned the whole automobile sector at auto expo but still guys like you are interested in manufacturers who produce bikes like 100, 110, 115, 118, 125, 135, 145, 150, 160, 180, 200, 220 etc or a bike which changes its stickers after every 6 months.

For one thing, I don't watch TV ever except for accompanying my daughter on Chota Bheem and tennis sport. Why should it matter to me as a customer whether the manufacturer is a trendsetter, market leader, etc? Not one of them does me a charity and if I feel criticizing them for what I deem fit viz a joke, a complaint, etc, I will be doing so.

Bajaj, tvs and yamaha, they all are doing sticker jobs specially yamaha which should be crowned as the king of sticker jobs as they refresh their bike errrrrr.....i mean stickers after every 6 months.
Exactly. And so is Yamaha a trendsetter with performance bikes, RE with their bikes, Bajaj with their Pulsar and TVS with Apache, etc. However, it is also true that some things get stuck with certain manufacturers, like Yamaha was known for their laziness (at least before 2008), Bajaj for quality (or lack of), etc. For some reasons, or the so-called herd mentality, the sticker job has been associated with Hero.

Bajaj is selling generation old pulsars with rocket lines whereas honda has even repainted unicorn with repsol colors in the past but I dont know why people like you criticize hero only. Yes, if anybody wants to criticize or make fun of Bajaj, it can be done both ways. Pulsars for being too old series and Discovers for blink-and-you-miss the newly launched model. Yes, I have called out Bajaj in the past for having a showroom-cum-museum approach for Discover brand. Launched in the morning and hence it is a showroom and phased out in the evening and hence it is a museum, and hence that showroom-cum-museum call out on Bajaj. Whats wrong if a user criticizes the manufacturers? And yes, I agree with your criticism and hope that you may get the point that Hero may be criticized in their related threads and Bajaj in theirs too. I don't mind cross-criticism too, and why should I?

For now, I have to add that lets agree with "The Monk" and stop the flow right here

I've seen more karizmas than ZMRs in bangalore. And frankly, am getting to see more number of the newer models of the both than older ones. Like someone said, the newer ones are selling faster than the older models. Good news for hero.
