BMW's Markus Braunsperger had actually worked with Bmw's motorcycle division, he himself is an biking enthusiast, and later he was assigned with four wheeler division of BMW where he was associated with 5,6,7 series and x3 x5 x7 models.

Yeah hope so, infact Hero is trying to catch up fast of the lost ground particularly in the field of R&D department, they have lined whole new 100 and 110cc engine, for the next commuter segment bikes they will be offering, according to them these new power plants are more superior in performance and mileage then the current engines of Honda, which they are using.

Re: Hero MotoCorp hires BMW X7 designer for its motorcycles

Design is a course in general and I don't think there is any specialization for two wheelers or four wheelers. A good car designer can be a good bike designer.
I am expecting some nasty looking hero bikes in future.
The problem with roping in foreign talent is that they quickly become frustrated and disillusioned with the company, owing to the lackadaisical attitude of desi staff(I know since I am like one). The culture is a total misfit for these guys who. Not to say that every firangi who comes to work here is supremely talented, but I have definitely seen good guys utterly stunned with the desi corporate culture. These guys eventually leave when the fat pay package is no longer enough to make up for the frustrating work experience. Bajaj had hired a BMW guy who designed the 200NS, but then quickly departed.
The hero always RIDES into the sunset!

Good to see someone like Mr. Markus Braunsperger joining Hero. Till now, the designers @ Hero have done a commendable job. I think Hero has brought him keeping an eye on the expansion of the global market. Hero is expanding globally.

I am not at all sure about Braunspergers expertise in stickering technology, which may also appear rocket science to him.

On a serious note, all the best to Hero Motocorp to come up with awesome bikes which is all we wish at end of the day.

Good they bought in a new designer. New design's showcased by them were seriously messed up.

Messed up? It is appealing to me and many others. Are the people buying them fools? And if you call the HX250R a mess up. You gotta show your designing capabilities mate...
