How are you going to use the RC? Is she going to be your second bike or the primary one?
Also, at the launch, Bajaj said these are introductory prices ...any idea when the prices will be revised?

Lol, I don't think that is the case! ,... for me I spent all the cash I saved for the Bike in trips to bhutan, roopkund etc etc ...now will have to wait a few months .... or I would have definitely booked by now. Since they have made changes taking feeback from Duke, I really don't think they will be making any other significant changes in future batches.... not at least for a year or two....

As @Shantnu said they have taken feedbacks from duke owners and have tweaked in RC. You took the right decision. Others are waiting for a test drive because most of them know it is a track oriented ride and confused about how well it will perform in city conditions and the well known potholes.

I don't have much information about the battery as i only saw the ride once. May be i will take a test ride next week. I can ask them about this that time.

Heard lighting is better than duke series (may be they took feedback from duke owners).
Yea, one is for DIM and other for BRIGHT.
RC390 tiny in the sense did you mean slim?

Its an awesome looking ride.

@senotrius, you can see the ride at KTM vytilla or u can test ride from KTM showroom on way to aluva next week (gonna be inaugurated on 25th this month).

I think it is enough for city rides but your idea is good (rubber coating) as one can slip his/her hand from grip if the hands are sweaty etc.....On the highway it is risky anyhow.

The bungee clip is for registration purpose. It is an add-on safety but let's see how many will keep it after getting the ride. No way a lady is going to sit one sided on that seat that too wearing a saree. Even if with jeans, it is a big NONO.
Yea you can hold on if you are not confident, but one must be sitting two sided...

looks compact and smaller due to the black colour, thinner longer fuel tank and transparent cowling.and no comparison when beside the n300.mainly due to the matte black paint I believe.

btw,I ask all pillions to hold onto me rather than grab rails when required.much more practical.

any chance you might be getting this beast ?

Yea two showrooms for ernakulam, 1 for thrichur and new one launching on 21st this month in alapuzha. Demand is there. They are growing too. The second showroom is located at MUTTOM next to Chevy showroom.

Actually it is not matte paint, its some kinda matte colored material (i guess). I won't be owning a 390 because of road conditions :P

wait for the R25 then mate ;-) it's not going to be as fast as the RC390 but surely quick enough with comfortable/practical ergonomics and likely to be perfect for long rides and city rides as well..

RC390 seems to be a bit too track-oriented to be ridden on city conditions or long rides or broken roads etc...seems like going to be more uncomfortable (as in very taxing on the body, which can compromise the reflexes and mental energy) in such situations than the R15v2.

or get the duke 390 maybe ?

She will be my primary & she is my second bike. I am currently with a Unicorn. By looking at their strategy with the dukes, the prices will increase. but seeing the market, I don't think they will increase the price. they might reduce it in future.

Those indicators look ugly.. I prefer the RVM mounted ones.. and the RVM mounted will be what that's going to be delivered.. or are you looking at a different bike and quoting it's a KTM..??

Good to know that I didn't make any mistake coz I took the 200 due to it's short gearing & mileage & the 390 will be too much for a city..

also KTM did a good job by offering same features in both the bikes. Some manufacturers to differentiate will include all the nice features in the higher end models (*cough* cars *cough*) and keep the lower end stripped off all features and ugly..

Color choices would have been really nice.. but this is fine.. I'll go and custom sticker her up..

The pic i uploaded was rc390 itself. May be it just a testing ride....hope pulsar 400ss tail lamp will be made more good looking....

Ya 390 will be too much for city. 200 offers better mileage and enough power for city and occassional trips. Short ones that is.

he's getting the rc390?could make it among the first ownership thread if so..200 over 390 is because of the gearing.the 200 is definitely better geared for city use.but really once u ride the 390 u will not want the 200 as much.there is no real substitute for bhp.

yes. It's the short gearing & mileage. and like [MENTION=23253]senotrius[/MENTION] said, the 390 is definitely better than the 200 at the cost of mileage.. and the 390 is more focused towards tracks and not city roads..

I don't tour often.. however, I would love to go on long rides. Time is a luxury for my job..

Heres a different take on rc.I have owned a d200 for about 1.5yrs/18000kms, and did all kinds of terrain on it.I sold it off, to upgrade to a faster ride.Rc's got me excited.I am trying to see if there can be a provision for rear luggage rack.for naysayers, even the sexy z1000 has a rack fitting.Pillion isnt an issue, have ridden long distances on the duke, and rc by the looks of it has better seats.I am just waiting for a proper testride.Bike will be used solely for rides and some city riding, and for the corner carving, rc seems a more apt choice.Hope to get hands in the beast soon.I know duke might make sense for others, but my heart screams rc rc rc...
