I heard this too. ECU is also remapped.
BTW, not sure if it's only me, but I felt the exhaust note is different compared to the Duke. The pitter patter (auto rickshaw type of) sound was not felt.

Re: KTM RC 200 & RC 390 Launched
KTM Connaught place inaugurated RC390 today at 4PM.I reached there at about 05:30PM and not to my surprise there were many enthusiasts lurching onto the bike.Originally posted by mehuel View Postexcellently priced.
visited both Bagga link and KTM showroom in CP, but it wasnt there, KTM sales guy informed it should be there by next week
and rest rides should begin then.
I also had chance to sit on the bike, though test drive was not being offered for RC390.
I was about to book the bike the very first day of launch but stepped back as the bike seemed pretty small in pictures.
Considering the Duke dimensions my concern was quite obvious as duke's seat is like small plateau in middle of huge ocean which could only provide for 1 person.
Though all of that was cleared out when I got the chance to sit on the bike without main stand. The seat height is pretty high and despite being 6 feet I had to pull up my jeans to settle my shoes firm on the ground.
It was a perfect fit. It appeared like I have placed myself in a cockpit of an intergalactic spaceship.
From rear and front it is very slim and sexy, from the sides it looks killer and from the driver's view it's like a beast ready to roar.
Short guys are definitely going to find this bike difficult to mount themselves on, like those who were desperately trying to hop on this beast in the KTM Shoowroom today.
Had a test ride of duke390 after that. And guess what you get when this sweet 374cc single is mated to RC's aggressive riding stance,an intergalactic spaceship that actually traverses though galaxies at huge speeds.
PS: I am being a bit dramatic

You are correct Sarvajit.
I visited the KTM CP showroom today and I couldn't agree more on this with you that the exhaust note on RC390 is more gruntier compared to duke390.
Though my dad,did not even liked the sound on RC390.He still called it auto waali aawaaz..

Cannot be sure unless many more sites say something about itOriginally posted by chinmayakar View PostVery valid point. None of the sites mentioned that. They have deduced this from the interview during RC launch.

How is it compared to R15? The seating and posture. Planning to test ride this weekOriginally posted by cool20bud View Post

Riding posture is very aggressive. It just pleads you to be ridden faster.Originally posted by Vysakh.M.S View PostHow is it compared to R15? The seating and posture. Planning to test ride this week
R15 is somewhat the same with 15-20% margin on relaxed riding stance over rc390.

Re: KTM RC 200 & RC 390 Launched
well that's gonna be a pretty annoying problem with so so many potential owners of the bike if it's indeed a bit too difficult for the shorter riders of height less than nearly 6 feet to mount the bike..it also means it's gonna be more difficult for these riders to crawl through densest traffic blocks where speeds are below 10kmph or manage/balance the bike at sudden halt or situations like that...
as for riding stance with respect to R15v2, seems like there's still no consensus..among those who have sat on the bike or (claim to have) ridden it, it appears the number of people saying the RC390 has less aggressive riding stance than the R15v2 is equal to the number of people saying the opposite :PLast edited by aditya_YZF-R15; 09-14-2014, 02:43 AM.

Re: KTM RC 200 & RC 390 Launched
RC is definitely more aggressive than R15. The differentiating factor being tank. The RC's tank will touch you. But the R15's tank will not as it is more flat.Originally posted by aditya_YZF-R15 View Postwell that's gonna be a pretty annoying problem with so so many potential owners of the bike if it's indeed a bit too difficult for the shorter riders of height less than nearly 6 feet to mount the bike..it also means it's gonna be more difficult for these riders to crawl through densest traffic blocks where speeds are below 10kmph or manage/balance the bike at sudden halt or situations like that...
