    I was always with the bandwagon of people who beleived exhaust note is different.Its different because the intake pipe routing is different in both the rcs, if u had observed dukes intake pipe was out of the chassis, this is somewhere else, hence the change.
    Getting back to the quote, from what ive read/heard/ridden, gearing is same, but the extra topspeed is due to the fairing and aerodynamics it imparts to the whole package.ride duke and rc back to back and take both around 160, youll get my poimt.duke is stable but not like the rc, planted even at that speed.

      You are saying the otherway round. Rc 200 acceleration is linear and in order to keep it from stalking in the traffic. That's not the case with the 390.

        I was so surprised to hear it! I expected it sound very close to Duke 390 if not the same! I immediately started recording the exhaust sound because I knew, a lot of people would want to hear it!

          The duke 200 can accelerate from 36-136 in 6th gear it barely stalls but on the 390 if you aren't in the right gear at low speeds the bike starts stalling as it is tall geared

            So you're saying the gearing is same but the stalling issue is fixed to an extent by some other means ...
            We can only know for sure when the rc's are delivered

              Even I'm really surprised because the rc 390 which I rode did not have any whistling sound nor do any other rc's on YouTube!!!
              But I love the whistling sound !

                    I would not want that whistling sound when in traffic. Never!
                    BTW, I never heard this kind of whistling sound from the RC which I checked-out!

                      I can notice weird additional sparrow sounds when idling, which can probably due to the fairing around the exhaust which is kind of giving it a whistle effect when exhaust blows out of the pipe.
                      The exhaust sounds are still nearly same between D390 and RC390 and sounds worst when idling or at low speeds because it reminds me of Ape autos.

                        is it possible that the specific RC was a defective device?? Yet it became awesome..?? Somehow I kinda liked the sound.. Bajaj also noted during the launch of a whistle sound due to the wind blowing down under rather than sides by the radiator.. however, I am guessing that the radiator will NOT move according to the accelerator.. so only logical reason could be is that it's a defective model.. And somehow people loved it..

                        It gives me a race-car kinda feeling tho.. But just my opinion and thoughts.. If it's something they improved last minute and decided to make the whistle a standard!! That's just perfect..

                                It very much seems to be the case. I am coming straight from the showroom now and the bike I checked-out, had no whistling sound. Not even a tiny bit.

                                Also, I found there are atleast two differences in the body of the RC 200 & RC 390, ofcourse apart from the color.

                                1. I found the handle of the 200 to be smaller than that of the 390. Not much but yes, significant enough to notice.
                                2. The bit that extends out at both ends of the handle bar were missing in the 200. (check out the image)
