The old unicorns/dazzler had two main problems. First one is that they have a weak cone set which tends to get damaged very easily because of bad road conditions. Per year i had to change the cone sets twice on my dazzler. Second one is chain noise problem. I have seen many many unicorns with loud chain noises. Do you guys think that these problems are rectified in 160? I can see new indicators which look solid and not like the weak existing ones. If the above problems are rectified, I will go with this one.

Re: Honda CB Unicorn 163cc Launched at Rs 69350 - Live Updates!
Is it only me or somebody else also think that the front fork and the reflector attached to it spoiled the looks of already average looking bike. BTW the same thing got struck with me on the Trigger is well, they spoiled its look by adding a round reflector adjacent to the rear number plateOriginally posted by sunilg View PostSome pictures of the new CB Unicorn 160

Those reflectors are mandatory in the US aswell. When you're crossing an intersection or parked on the side at night it reduces the risk of getting T-boned in low visibility.
Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Friends, any idea when Unicorn 160 would be available in showrooms? I am in Chennai and today I enquired in one of the Kun Honda showrooms. They neither had the specs nor any tentative date to offer. To my annoyance, they were simply not interested in talking at all - well after all, it's a new product launch. Have read reviews about Honda's pathetic customer service in the Service centres. Is it the same in Showrooms/ Sales dept as well? Looks like the rising sales and market share is going inside their heads.

Not sure if the bookings are open in Chennai yet, if then, the sales people should be able to provide you an insight.Originally posted by tsiva1980 View PostFriends, any idea when Unicorn 160 would be available in showrooms? You are not alone to feel like that! I have experienced the same with Honda showrooms both in Chennai and Bangalore.Originally posted by tsiva1980 View PostFriends, any idea when Unicorn 160 would be available in showrooms? Customer service is shit with them almost all across India just because Honda vehicles are doing well. A lot of others should be able to echo our thoughts on here.Owns a baby Gixxer starting Jan '15

Wait guys, let them settle down. It is no use telling fault about Honda service centers. Maybe by January end they will be able to answer. Got tired of hearing complaints about Honda showrooms. They are people too--------------------------------------------------------------

Nothing wrong in this. This is the truth about the honda service guys. Making a great product never make them great, instead they should focus on proper customer service and product service too and they are really pathetic in this department.Originally posted by dude_creative View PostWait guys, let them settle down. Its really surprising that they launch a product with great coverage, but never tell the show room guys when the product will be launched, this is not acceptable. If things are not ready then they should never launch a product it self.
We are the owners of honda vehicles and we have every right to take about their doings, finally honda runs because we buy their products.

Hardly mate! I don't have a problem with showrooms not knowing the exact availability of a new bike or the on road price. Information like this(especially for a new launch) takes time to trickle down from the company headquarters and I understand that.
I was talking customer service in showrooms in general is pathetic with them! Most of them from managers to sales people in many Honda showrooms have this "I don't give a damn about you" attitude when you try and engage with them. Personally I felt that they often give me a cold shoulder if I ask something in detail. Most of them have this attitude, there is always some other customer to whom I can sell it to.
Honda's engines on the other hand are absolute gem!Owns a baby Gixxer starting Jan '15

Re: Honda CB Unicorn 160 Launched at Rs 69350/-
They won't take bookings for a few weeks or even months because Honda has reached full capacity production in all their plants. The bike was only "launched" in December because they had promised they would launch the bike in October, which then got pushed to November and finally December it was. They have 1 lakh backlogs to attend to and cannot seem to decide which plant should manufacture what bikes and scooters as of now. I spoke to my service manager and he said Honda has not even started training their mechanics for the new bike yet. I think this mix up will continue till their Gujarat plant goes fully operational by 2016.Originally posted by tsiva1980 View PostFriends, any idea when Unicorn 160 would be available in showrooms?
