    Re: Next Gen Apache Spied....!!!

Those tail lights are all part to deceive the prying eyes, so that it doesn't attract attention. Secondly, a big diss, personally I feel is the swingarm design, why not a good aluminum swingarm, like the Draken or the R15 or the Duke.

Secondly, the exhaust isn't much appealing either, it reminds of an yesteryear design, or perhaps for a test mule, yet to see how the production version comes out. Thirdly the oil filter could have used some housing of some sort to flow with the design, it's almost like a boner in the middle. (pun intended)

The pillion seat! Girls your derriere must be carved to perfection to house it in there. Tight space.

But these observations are exclusively my personal thoughts, and do take it with a pinch of salt.

Nevertheless, I have high hopes of TVS, considering TVS has one of the best build quality motorcycles in India, you can expect similar or even better a finished product.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

It looks like a smaller version of Duke ! Literally there is no space for pillion. The rear end finish is totally hopeless !!

            Re: Next Gen Apache Spied....!!!

Pillion seat seems to be quite accommodating except for height.it is wide and seems well padded.console looks clean and much better than that of Duke which is sort of cramped.

Fins on the cylinder block generally mean an air cooled engine. Maybe it has an oil radiator as well. But this means a power output below what can be produced with a LC engine of the same capacity.

Also, are those the new TVS tyres that are expected to release?

Loads of cost cutting measures seen, No USD to make the bike look sportier, Hope to see projector lights on the prod-ready ones atleast. This product has been TVS premium one for a long time now. Hope the firm will upgrade it much more visually appealing.

                  Re: Next Gen Apache Spied....!!!

                  Looks like the engine has:
                  1. Centrally mounted spark plug at the top.
                  2. Oil circuit from the oil filter, to the head is internally directed.
                  3. 4 valves config,due to point #1.
                  4. Oil-cooler addition. As a oil-cooler line can be seen at the front, near the chassis.
                  5. There seems to be sensors attached to the bore, meaning it has Fi.
                  6. Gixxer like twin opening exhaust, extra one for high revs.

Whatever ever new model tyre is that, if it's branded TVS tyres don't trust them. Just remove them and grab a new set of aftermarket tyres.

I have had very bad experience with the stupid TVS tyres! They are so pathetic.

Is it not the production version? Cuz it has a proper registration plate. They do only register the proper road legal production version right?

Why not prepare just 1 vehicle with an engine number and chassis. Get it registered. Make it a test mule and make changes to the line-up and send it out. But the point quoted is something to look back.

People, this is just an upgraded RTR. dont expect much. Might be an overbored 200CC This would act as a practice/training for the mechs in handling FI's and other complicated techs to follow in future BMW based bikes. Remember how TVS has failed with FI in past. But now it no more a premium feature.

Buddy is it the same fiero engine they are using like RTR series cause we know fiero can be oil cooled with simple mods and you are running one for a very long time with oil cooling setup so it may be just another RTR with bigger bore and FI with oil cooling setup .

From what i had learnt from the conversation i had with Mr Srinivas of TVS R&D,which was more than a year back, who sadly passed away in a bike accident last year, this engine is based on the fiero/RTR platform. The same 4 valve configuration will appear on the next iteration of RTR's too.
