The Bajaj Pulsar 200RS Sport is a God sent motorcycle for me and I'm really happy with its launch, now I can ride with joy when I soon buy it in India.

Went to the Bajaj Dealer again.
No test rides as he only has 1 unit of the Non ABS model, and one each of the Adventure series. They are babying the bikes, won't let anyone even sit on the them!

Not a single unit of the 200 NS, this is inline with what Bajaj said earlier. No surprise there, it hasn't been discontinued.

There is indeed a 40 day waiting period on the bike, especially the ABS model.

Prices quoted to me were a little strange:

      Pulsar RS 200 (Non-ABS): Rs 1,40,000
Pulsar RS 200 (ABS): Rs 1,50,000
      Pulsar AS 150: Rs 94,000
      Pulsar AS 200: Rs 1,04,000

Are these prices correct guys? Please shed some light on this. Thanks.

I have booked a non-abs RS 200 here in Ahmedabad and it costs 1.33 lakhs. For the ABS version the price is around 1.45 lakhs.

When there is less than 10% difference in ABS vs Non ABS prices, why do people still go for non-ABS? This is something you can't fit afterwards (at least reliably). Save a few more bucks, sacrifice some costs and go for ABS please. There will never be a situation where you will regret that you have ABS, but there can be some situations where you regret not having it.

Only single channel ABS is offered by Bajaj. And also, most of the time people use rear brakes rather than front.

Lack of knowledge on the public's part man. Most of the people don't even know what ABS is!

I had to explain what ABS is to a dude who had come to service his new P150 and was looking to buy a AS 150.
