Firstly, kudos to Bajaj for making this machine. Its a good product overall.

A few things though...
The body surely is over-done. But the handle height and the turn indicators are an eye-sore. If i buy this bike the first thing I would do is do away with the front indicators and make the pilot lamps as indicators. Body integrated indicators on a faired bike are the best type of indicators you can have.

Good News! Got a call from the zonal head Sales that the bike has arrived in the showroom. Going tomorrow with cash to finally make it mine. On road price for ABS version in Mumbai: 1.53 L. Final delivery in 6-7 days.

Yes, Fuel injection is available for both the bikes but ABS is optional. AFAIK, ABS is the only difference between the two models (apart from price )

Only two models are available, both with FI: With and without ABS. So, no Carb for either models.

Went to. Nearby bajaj showroom to have a look at the bike. Couldn't get a test drive since showroom guys bluntly told no demo vehicle available. Same answer in two showrooms. So just sat on the bike and switched it on for couple of minutes in standing position and came back.

1.Bike certainly looks more drool worthy in flesh and for some odd reason it looks more bulky in pics than in real life.
2. The eccentric tail design actually looks acceptable in real life(at least for me).
3. Seating posture is very much comfortable. Little lean forward with rear set foot pegs. The most comfortable posture for long rides IMO.
4. the seats are super hard. Dunno how much comfortable it will be if I am sitting on it for like hours together. Its as hard as a duke, which was standing just beside in the same stock bay.
5. The thickness of rider seat is also bit thin, when compared with 200ns. According to me 200ns' seat is thicker and a bit softer suitable to be sitting for long time. Best seat was that of 220f. Sat on all these bikes back to back and had a feel of it. May be someone else can confirm this.
6. The size and shape of tank and the thigh area is very generous.
7. When the bike was started is was all music for the ears. The exhaust note is so pleasant and the engine sounds so refined. Just twisted the throttle couple of times to hear the sweet roar of the exhaust. Certainly the best sounding pulsar.
8. Fit and finish is so damn good. Everything just feels solid. Slightly shook the visor and it was just standing without a budge. Hope it doesn't vibrate like 220.

Now, one major doubt
The tank feels massive and my legs felt spread wide, Compared to the compact feel you get when you sit on a 220. 220 fuel tank feels and look chick, whereas 200 rs fuel tank looks and feels massive. But, the capacity of 220 is 15 litres and 200rs is only 12 litres. Why has bajaj made the tank small on the inside but made it look bulkier. I can feel KTM influence here.
On a side note: being a tourer, tank capacity is very important to be taken all the places. 200 rs has a 12 l fuel tank and being a fuel injected bike we need to leave at least 2 litres of fuel to keep the fuel pump submerged. Keeping that in mind we only have 10 l of us able fuel. Though bajaj claims a very optimistic fuel economy, looking at the tank size it could have made the tank big on the inside as well.

Over all an excellent bike from bajaj which seldom feel like bajaj. Kudos to bajaj for bringing a stunning rabbit out of the hat.
