Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Launched @ Rs 1.18 Lakhs
Yes bro. I know. Just wanted to share what I read about the ergonomics. I felt the whole article to be crap. They say this has more sensors than a moto gp bike. Guess they don't have any idea of what sbk are. :banghead:Originally posted by Rakesh Rok View Post

Comfort is similar to NS...not much difference.Originally posted by Vysakh.M.S View Postwhat about the comfort?
In my opinion, hard suspension and seats bigger than RC.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Launched @ Rs 1.18 Lakhs
Went to local dealership to check out the bike. No test rides available as usual.
Impression:
1. Pulsar RS200 definitely gives a big bike feel. Hard to believe that the meaty body just has a 199.5 cc engine inside.
2. Front and rear tyre is 100/80-17 & 130/70-17 in size respectively. The thinner tyre profile to control the final pricing probably. KTM Duke/RC like tyre profile would have complemented the look and ride quality.
3. Pillion grabs the grip line provided under the rear cowl. Nice.
4. Bike is bombarded with unwanted stickers and graphics. There is one even on the tank. If I bought this bike, I would have rip away all the stickers. They just shadow the bike looks.
5. Coolent container is inside the right side of the fairing. Not too easy to access IMO.
6. Fit and finish is impressive. No loose panels, mirrors or unwanted gaps (except the side area, where rider and pillion seat lines meet)www.motorcykle.in - The lighter side of motorcycling

Bike seems to be relatively shorter compared to the blue Pulsar 200NS. Can you pls confirm this, or is it a photographic illusion.Originally posted by pulsater View PostWent to local dealership to check out the bike. No test rides available as usual.

I have never tried stoppies on superbikes, so i dont know, may be they do it by switching off the ABS.Originally posted by saurabhp View PostPrince buddy...

The reason i said that stoppies will b difficult, was that it was mentioned on Bosch website that rear wheel sensor is to prevent the rear wheel lift off under braking.
Definitely, and that is why RC is costly.Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostI had a small test ride of this bike. And I can safely say KTM RC200 > Pulsar RS200

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Launched @ Rs 1.18 Lakhs
there is one more thing i want to understand. this pulsar RS200 makes max. power at 9750 RPM, but the engine redlines at 9500 RPM. so are we supposed to extract that extra bhp from engine by frequently redlining the engine or not, is bajaj saying that you can redline this bike as much as you want, in that case this bike does not need a redline. i am confused.
btw, does it look better in black -->

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Launched @ Rs 1.18 Lakhs
so about the single channel abs with a second sensor on the rear wheel (to prevent rear wheel lift off during braking)..
Does this mean that in case of panic breaking the front wont lock but the rear does and the bike fishtails?.. (if thats the case then what good is the ABS here??)..

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Launched @ Rs 1.18 Lakhs
No. Of channels define the discrete controlling mechanisms available to stop the wheels without locking. On ABS equipped vehicle, there are two things to consider; sensors & control channels. If this pulsar is having single channel ABS it means that both the wheels are controlled by single channel.Originally posted by mindless_wanderer View Postso about the single channel abs with a second sensor on the rear wheel (to prevent rear wheel lift off during braking)..
Does this mean that in case of panic breaking the front wont lock but the rear does and the bike fishtails?.. (if thats the case then what good is the ABS here??)..
Example, Using sensors ABS has decided that it would take x+y units of force to stop front wheel w/o locking and x for rear wheel. Had there been 2 channels ABS would used those forces independently on the 2 wheels. Since there is only 1 channel, ABS sends out only x amount of force to both the wheels. If ABS sends x+y to both the wheels rear would lock and fishtale. Either way the stopping distance increases if #channels are not equal to #wheels.
Single channel works best if weight on both wheels is equal. Driver can adjust his sitting position to arrive at equal weight distribution position.

The extra premium they charge is for this weight reduction, the exquisite swingarm, the usds et al.Originally posted by Ajay Vishwanath View PostOkay, people telling me about weight of the vehicle, does 20 kgs matter? I dunno, just asking, coz what if I'm 20 kgs more than normal me? does that equate out?
Don't flame me, I'm just curious to know more..
This same question was raised when ns was launched post 200.
Ktms real deal is power to weight ratio. That makes the bike go bonkers. Weight reduction is very big deal. Check prateeks ninja san thread, thats what he is doing.Motorcycling heals, big time...
