Rather, people badmouth them because not so-long-ago, they used to be the leader when it came to innovation and introduced bikes that had the desirability quotient in them by oodles. ANd these bikes co-existed with their mainstream models. The HH of 2009, specializing in stickering is only a shell of their former self and THAT my friends, is disappointing.

Again, no one is badmouthing HH because they cater to the bread and butter segment. They know this market segment very well and they have every right to maintain their no.1 spot by making bikes for the masses.

@Synn: right, minus the sticker jobs, their motorcycles are extremely competitive, offering great comfort for any kind of a ride, great suspension, good looks! Their bikes are great all-rounders. I hope HH comes with a better Karizma soon, because this is one bike which needs a good upgrade...

No Matter how badly they use the RED color with their bikes, No matter how many times they use the Red alloys.....No matter how much we keep on bashing HH for its UPGRADEs

We still see them on the roads...and HH still remains to be on top with huge margin....Thats what has HH gained it goodwill with its 100cc and utilizing it for its 120+ cc bikes...
I think HH is more market specific than biker specific

.
Not to forget...these are no bad bikes.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2008 - Yamaha YZF R15
2009 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2013 - KTM 390 Duke
2017 - Yamaha FZ25

Agree with u riazmomin, They're not at all bad bikes.
Actually, what we the performance enthusiasts do not like is the R&D of HH. But the point is, why do these people need it(R&D). They're already at the top position with huge margins as we all know.
I personally think that they are wise enough(as businessmen) as they target the segment which is of the utmost importance in the indian bike market scenario. From variable Bhps to a constant 17.6 Bhp.

According to me HH bikes are leader in great refined engine (thanks to Honda, Nihon), outstanding build quality- yes I mean it. Don't forget the Splendor !! This is as compared to Bajaj and TVS. No offense though.

I won a Hero Honda bike. Hero Honda satisfied my needs. I am among the 'Us' referred to above. I want to remind you, in case if you forget, many of 'we' xbhpians are using HeroHonda bikes.Originally posted by inflammable View PostRight... We xbhpians are among the different class of bikers for whom.. Mere sticker & paint upgrades are not included in LIST OF EXPECTATIONS FROM BIKE MANUFACTURERS... So we fall in differnet league altogether... And HH bikes are not for OUR LEAGUE OF BIKERS... In simple words... HH Bikes are not for us... Period.
Bikes mean not only performance; also commuting in India.
It is not that we are telling Hunk is a bad bike. The point is the paint scheme. I have seen the bike in person, and it is really an eyesore to see it. The painting is really overdone. At least, CBZ-x was looking better, not this Hunk with overdone painting job.Last edited by ravi@17bhp; 03-08-2009, 10:51 AM.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

^^^ well, that's the point even I didn't understand.
I thought that the ZMA, CBZ-X and the Hunk are among the most desirable bikes in terms of looks (well, cough... cough...), performance & reliability! And I believe that a huge bunch of xBhpians either own them or vouch for them.

I went to the showroom in vellore to book the old xtreme as chennai had no stock they were waiting for the "new" xtreme.so went to vellore town to pick the bike.to my surprise they had the "new" xtreme,it was the last one of a batch of 9 that arrived that day
.took it keeping the resale value in mind
.I hate this HUNK for some reason i love the old xtreme
.I love my bike period but still wish that i had listened to my dad and bought the ZMA

Exactly what I thought... Earlier copying the side chrome panels from Platina for CBZX , and now for Hunk from FZ..Originally posted by modifii View PostLeft side cover below seat identical to FZ...
Are they trying to compete with FZ-S????

So they are following Yammy as desired by the peeps here..
Still people not happy??
I thought CBZX with multi-coloured alloy wheels was the funniest level of HH... but with Hunk, they've proved me wrong... But, this was is extremer
But, I feel... this is the marriage season, so this new Hunk could be a good option to give as Dahej (Dowry)..

Okay switching to serious mode now ^^^..
Brother, we should also note that the real enthusiasts of Power Bikes (if you want to call them as enthusiasts, super-literates), i.e. the owners of Litre class bikes, majority don't log into xBhp that often and, maybe 90% of them don't even know about xBhp.Originally posted by inflammable View PostThere are 50000 xbhpians... And most of them are not regular members... say 90%... There must have been xbhpians too... who must have bought this INNOVATION... Just that... those people either dont speak up.. or dont log on at all...
What do you think... How many LITERATE BIKERS are there in india??? LITERATE BIKERS means... Bike users who know that its their responsibility to ride safely.. with a helmet.. shoes... and following rules... Leave aside a knowing good design & engineering...
Look at the rules & regulations of this country... hardly 4-5 cities have made it mandatory to ride... wearing a helmet..
There are a lot of bike maniacs, who have all the idea about bikes, who aren't at xBhp...
Also, owning a power bike (without any stickers and weird colours) doesn't make anyone enthusiast, it maybe that person's mere show-off attitude, just like a flashy, flaunty, illiterate - Gali ka Launda on his funky Hunk/ CBZX...
Just like these Litre class bikes (atleast I can't afford it) these painted HHs aren't for us.. these are for someone else... And, we can be a little tolerant to them..
Possibilities are endless..
Everybody and anybody don't get pissed off at me, it's just what I think...Last edited by cyclone2k; 03-09-2009, 09:20 AM.sigpic

@All:
Guys, just take a break. Why get angry for this 'Red Town Madness'?
That is all HH can do if their primary engine supplier Honda doesn't take up their case seriously. Pity them. They are our 'Most Trusted Brand' yet!
P.S: People will still buy these things! It still works out for those guys...!!
LOL.
Cheers!

I still wish HH remains the same multi-coloured forever, so that our Pulsars, FZ's & R15's gets some Individuality on roads! That's my point! (ZMA is an exception still to HH's product line)
So relax guys, nothing's going wrong...
