That is the Engine Number you are looking at. Next to it you will find the Frame/chassis number too. The color of the bike is at the end.Originally posted by HyperRetard View PostThats only the engine. The chasis has to be imported too.
Currently all big Suzukis are CBUs and this is how they show up in import data.200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

Now that's unexpected! India as a country is so starved, any small speculation becomes a news.
Nevertheless, wishing some day this news becomes a reality.A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Or could it be that Suzuki has surplus inventory of the 2015 Busa, India would be good enough place for dumping before they have the completely overhauled 2016 Busa (read 2015 R1 and 2015 R1 difference), the current gen is more or less the same bike from K1 model year with reasonably incremental updates. If I had 16 Lakhs I would surely hold onto for the 2016 model year.

CKD route ain't bad at all. The Ninja 650 is doing it just fine.__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _______

Why would Suzuki go CKD on a flagship model? Makes no sense. Don't think any of the Japanese manufacturer would go CKD on a flagship supersport/litre/hyperbike. And even if they did, the price won't drop like that. This is a hoax for sure.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Suzuki to assemble the Hayabusa in India
Topic Approved.
Fantastic news indeed!
Imported bikes do give more peace of mind to the owner, but yeah, if the price is cut by a few lacs overall, it may turn out to be a great news, provided they maintain the quality. But I don't think that will be a problem.
Considering that bikes above a certain price sell in just a few hundreds per year, its worth appreciating Suzuki for this effort they took. Let's wait to see what price they will put on it.
However, I hope they bring a few selected bikes in the 600-1000cc range, later on, via the CKD scheme. Something that actually influences a good portion of bikers.---
