Kawasaki Motorcycles launched the most awaited Versys 650 in India at Rs 6.6 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The bike is bought via CKD route to India.

I think versys is overpriced or Ninja 650 is very well priced. If we look at the price difference of Versys in USA and India we can easily say that it should have been priced at 6 lakh and not 6.6 Lakh. Disappointed
And why the hell they choose to launch only black. I think Versys looks worst in black. Orange or green would have been much better.Last edited by shootingstar; 12-25-2015, 12:58 PM.Comment

the interesting part is they are importing from Thiland as per few sources. and that should rather make things easier and cheaper , you know because of the Free trade agree ment. Also, they are probably importing around 60% of different parts for the bike. because the engine is rather same on all three Er6n , N650 and Versys.
but again, im sure there is some fair reason behind the price difference.Being on two wheels is being liberated. The vastness one feels being under the open sky. The whole feeling. . . cant be described.

addition of the ABS would have justified the Versys 650 price tag. I am thinking here what is the bloody reason for manufacturers shying away from ABS on these bikes

I guess bookings are going to start today, post lunch - 40000 is the booking amount in Bangalore it seems. On road price is still not a clear.

A quick search in zauba.com tells that 80 CKD sets have been imported till date. Also considering the cost at origin of CKD kit, the cost of the bike seems reasonable. Hope it gets a good response and Kawi continues to support with updates, so mere mortals such as myself can get good deals on used examples 2-3 years down the line
