Re: Kawasaki Versys 650 launch in India
Hi Guys have seen the Bike in Person . Its really huge its not the same it looks in pictures , and i believe it will be little bit difficult for short riders. I being 5.9 was not able to land my foots. But overall it is amazing with adjustable suspensions , i liked the colour as well as it is matte black.
In mumbai it is 7.43 onroad and as per showroom guy no waiting period.

Adventure bikes by design have higher seating position. It could be a little problem for short riders though.Originally posted by Discoversam View PostSeat height is a turn off! Why do all these good touring bikes come with their seats on third floor! Frustrati:[emoji36]

I got mine a couple of weeks back and have been riding since then. I am 5'9" and the bike's weight and seat height is a bit intimidating for sure in the initial days. once you start rolling, it feels very light and nimble. Its smooth, quiet, powerful, and feels like driving a sedan rather riding. The seat and suspension is very comfortable and the bike glides over broken roads and potholes. The handling and braking is great, once can lean in a lot with confidence, and abs assisted braking is very sharp. After riding the baby versys the brakes on my 390 feels like wood. Its a good jack of all bikes, can commute in traffic with ease, can munch miles on highways, can be ridden aggressively in twisties, and can also go off-road a bit. (actually a lot with change of rubber).Originally posted by sparky View PostAdventure bikes by design have higher seating position. It could be a little problem for short riders though.
Price wise, i feel its slightly over priced at 7.77 L OTR in Bangalore, esp when compared to N650, But the added features like ABS, both adjustable suspension, and flexibility more of less makes up for the cost. Only grouch is there is a zillion accessories available for the bike and they are all mostly super expensive. I am coming from Enfield fraternity where i am used to 1000rs for a crash guard, where as for the versys it starts at 15K+.

nasirkaka, I think you have ridden enough and its high time for you to start an ownership threadOriginally posted by nasirkaka View PostI got mine a couple of weeks back and have been riding since then.
. the thread of Sachinnair and his N650 was legendary. I think V650 also deserves something as detailed.
From your TBHP feedback, don't worry so much about small niggles. You are coming from a RE C500 and D390 for chrissakes
..
Just forget about what you paid for and enjoy... Going by the current price of 2014 N650, hopefully we should have nice examples of 2016 V650 for less than 5lks in 2018
. I'm looking forward to that... if only I could reduce the seat height as I'm only 5'6....
