Older design on Karizma would still work wonders if they bring it on with more power increase both side disc brakes and projectors they can bring as a variant for the people who would like it. See the new Pulsar AS 200 and AS 150 both look similar to older Karizma but advanced engine and power and one of the best lighting solution on roads. Pulsar just grew more as the years passed from 150 CC to 220CC and now to 375CC. But Hero with an already proven 250CC engine just couldn't grew. They had everything but couldn't make anything of it. So many years older karizma had smaller tyres where they could have upgraded to a bigger size also with same design and when they did they changed the design which was not liked by many in the market. The design just didn't compliment the brand karizma well. You had a readily available sports bike engine for Indian market but you just killed it. You have to grow as per public liking somewhat also. Which also pushes your sales. but they killed the sales.
I always liked older karizma but it lacked the gimmicks in compare to pulsar. Bajaj always had a new variant almost every 6 months whereas Karizma was same for so many years without even slightest change.
Sorry to say but Hero will only go down this way. They will only be selling the Splendor variants in the market. They have to grow with the market. See TVS it is making the RTR brand grow, yes it is slow but definately good from market competition.
