I think this should clear the air as to what's cooking in the Bajaj kitchen.

          Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

          THE END

I am guessing theres going to be limited quantity of these bikes. If its going to be priced reasonably then heres a chance to obtain a piece of the Iconic AC Carrier

I ain't a fan of Bajaj, but what they are trying to this time is something extraordinary and a piece of such History is worth owning. The PRIDE for being an INDIAN and a real tribute to the men and their machine who fought for our GLORY.
              HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY INDIANS.

Re: Bajaj to launch new motorcycle on 1st Feb

Bajaj Auto, today surprised everyone as they revealed a video teasing the new motorcycle that they'll be launching on February 1, 2016, just before Auto Expo 2016. We had already announced some time ago that Bajaj is going to launch an all new motorcycle brand on Feb 1, so what makes today's revelation special?

Well, the most special thing about this bike is its origin. According to the video, the steel that is used in making of the new bike is obtained from melting the scraped metal of INS Vikrant. As some of you might already know, INS Vikrant was the first ever aircraft carrier of Indian navy and was the hero of 1971 Indo-Pak War! INS Vikrant was commissioned into British Navy as HMS Hercules, but the World War II ended before her completion. So, they kept her construction on hold until India bought it in 1957. She was commissioned into Indian Navy as INS Vikrant. Vikrant in Hindi means 'courageous' or 'bold'. She then served the country for decades and played a decisive role in the 1971 war. She was finally decommissioned from Indian Navy in 1997 and was supposed to be converted into a museum, but the Indian Navy expressed its inability to maintain it as a museum and the INS Vikrant was finally scraped in 2014.

INS Vikrant during her days of glory!

So as per Bajaj, they bought that scraped metal and melted it and gave it the shape of an all new motorcycle, which will be "rebirth of INS Vikrant" and will be known as Bajaj V. The final details will be out on Feb 1, when Bajaj launches it; however, from the video it is clearly visible that the engine is not a very high capacity one. We do believe that it is going to be a 150 cc machine that will sit somewhere between the Discover & Pulsar brands. The silhouette of the bike appears to give the impression of a scrambler. The other things that are visible are dual rear suspension and chain cover along with a longish tank and 10-spoke alloy and the logo unit.

Needless to say the history and the story of the Bajaj V has got us hooked! We can't wait for this month to end when we actually get to see the bike. And whatever be the fate of this bike in terms of number of sales, we must salute the creative minds sitting at Bajaj to come up with this idea of making the bike with the steel of a battleship. We don't see any other example of making an such a strong emotional connect with the brand even before its launch. Also, there couldn't have been a better day to reveal this than India's republic day.

Looking at the silhouette of the bike it's definitely not 400cc

What a way to make a teaser! No matter it's capacity, it deserves respect. Creativity of Bajaj at it's best.
