    TVS racing prowess???? this is absolutely false gimmick...if they say they race at Madras racing circuit then its of no use..they need to stepup and participate in international events..if you go by this then Mahindra should be going gun ho about their racing prowess because their team is consistently delivering results at the MOTO3 race and recently they have finished on the podium...so don't go by their ad...

      TVS has been developing this bike since 5 years now. It is rumoured to go on sale in end of 2016 . As I was getting ready to buy a KTM RC 200/390,this news has popped up. So I will wait for this one.

      There will be no faired BMW 310. As this is not the strategy they are following.

        Dakar? What about that? You may say Sherco TVS but then again Mahindra also bought the team, they are no Yamaha! LoL

          Correction: Mahindra have been on the podium multiple times since the team entered Moto3. Recently they won their first Moto3 race with Pecco Bagnaia. A very big achievement indeed.

            Well, they may be failure in international circuit, so what? And I dont go by ads. They have a strong R&D, when it comes to racing. Anyways, I have nothing to do with those things. I just need that exceptional handling of RTR, which I severely miss in the CBR (PS- I had a RTR180 for 6 years) Please dont say about Mahindra. They are on the right track, but are far behind TVS, when comes to R&D of their own.

              Its not about participating...any team can participate..its about results!!!. In racing its 100th of seconda that matters and this is were KTMs, Yamahas,Hondas, ducatis come into picture...doing racing in MRF circuit with 180cc engine doesnt work...also what about Bajaj they have one of the best R&D facilities in India..if not better...

                    Dear there is no R&D... its the same engine from BMW..modified in house by TVS not major though ...just like BAJAJ...and its better too since TVS engine had issues with vibrations...Its good that they have collaborated with BMW..they will give their technical know how...TVS just has to implement it..win win situation for both TVS and BMW

                        Didnt know, 310R was 20 years old. Sorry for my limited knowledge. Anyways, I myself have said, TVS has directly taken all the major parts from BMW, It has only designed the upper, non significant half.

                        I havent seen any Indian company coming that close to their Racing heritage. But again, I have limited knowledge. May be Bajaj/Hero have better Racing R&D. They dont advertise I suppose. I am really sorry for hurting some knowledgeable people over here.

                              Okay, I have been reading this thread and today it has turned in a knowledge show(no offence guys).

                              As you can see sree, I have joined in June here, but have read much.

                              Recently, i was going through XBHP's 0-100 motorcycle thing, and I came across race tuned RTR160 producing 30BHP(can you believe that :what.

                              I own a RTR200, won't lie, not a fan but a new rider. even during my research of bike I did not visited racing site of TVS but I went few days back because above said 30 BHP inspired me .
                              I got to know they started with 50CC moped as you said clocking more than 100 KMPH.

                              They already have been conducting one make champion or similar name racing events with race tuned RTRs .(do you think any other indian company doing that).
                              It might inspire and give platform for future racer from India .

                              Even Suzuki did race events for race tuned gixxer.

                              Now TVS has race tuned RTR200 with 3 more BHP than production one.if you read that article ,you will get to know that there was no change in handle setup or suspension setup,that means production vehicle are capable of some advance maneuverability.
                              I guess this show their RnD is working .

                              I have heard numerous time that RTR has best handling and throttle response in its segment.

                              Even I ended here in knowledge show but I couldn't stop myself.
